Well, "Halo: Reach" is probably the game that Frankie and his team have been working on since he joined Microsoft.

I was never arguing with you the merits of quality from said franchises, I was just speaking in general that people milk franchises.


On that note, while invention leads to stuff like Pikmin and Half-Life. Evolution leads to things like Mario 64, Ocarina of Time and Half-Life 2.

Or using the movie reference, we get stuff like Casino Royale, The Dark Knight, X-men 2 and so forth.

I think there is a place for both, but I do feel that Halo is starting to enter into that territory. As much as Nintendo milks their franchises, they are pretty smart on keeping it away from their main title, we have had 8 real platforming Mario games in what 24 years, only about 7 Zeldas in a similar time frame. Sure we get MArio Kart, or Tetra Trackers, but seem like ideas that they wanted to slap a face on.

That game is being mabe by Cavia, who also did the crappy Drankengard games. Pretty sure this one will suck.
