I found that to be very disappointing about the Wii as well, with the lack of demos on the Wii channel.

I would think the limitation of the flash memory space on the Wii could be the cause of this.

The Nintendo channel has a download service for DS demos, but the only note-worthy demos I tried out were for Contra 4 and CrossworDS.
