I've always had admiration for the Diablo games, but I just can't get excited about the loot harvest, as damn hard as I try.

Alriiiight. I can't wait for this game. I like the simple gameplay and loot gathering, and the ability to play while drinking a (several) beers.

What's un-Christian about going to kill the devil and all of his minions?

Diablo has always spiked my interest, although my ADD of playing multiple games at once that I used to have about 6 years ago never let me complete the first two.

Shame on me I know.

The fact that the game makes it possible to fail in the quest and doesn't give you the choice to convert The Dark Lord to Christianity.

We fail to defeat Satan everyday. One could argue that if he could be defeated, there would be no more challenge to being a Christian... you'd just be, and God and Christianity would lose meaning.

Therefor, playing Diablo is Godly, but beating Diablo is heresy, and if you beat it you should be burned at the stake.

Angrist, its just a game. No part of any Christian doctrine calls for you to not play a game, especially not one that pits you in mortal battle with Satan.

I've always felt that refusing to play games, watch movies, or read books that conflict in some way with your religion is either admitting your religion has fallacies, or admitting that your faith is weak enough for fictional material to sway it.
