A "sale" like that might hoodwink an irregular customer, but as I am generally aware of the price progressions on the games I have interest in, I notice and realize when the ups and downs occur. So I do not get jipped.
Simply, a store like GameStop can run promotions that make them money at your expense. They also run promotions which can be used to your benefit, if you only pay attention. The Edge Card offers ten percent off used items. Combined with the everlasting ten percent off used purchases coupon, and on top of the five dollar reduction from buying used in the first place, you have twenty to twenty-five percent off what you would have bought elsewhere.
That kind of saving is worth grappling with them for. Unless you don't care to save money, or are ethically opposed to buying used videogames. That is your business. |
