Gah! It's so confusing now!

Is Jack's father, Christian, dead or alive? Is it just an illusion? Is Claire alive? Is she dead? Does she know Christian is her father? Does she know he's Jack's father? Is she brainwashed or hypnotized?

When John says they have to move the island? Does he mean physically move it, or move it back or forward through time?

What is the smoke monster?

I'm fairly certain Christian and Claire are both an illusion, and both are also probably dead.

Locke definitely means move the island into the past or future. The helicopter has already landed on the island, moving the island physically would do no good.

And I still think the smoke monster is a machine.

Im inclined to agree.

EDIT: GM Claire knows that hes is her father. He came to visit when Claire and her mother got in a car crash.
