Re: About the 360 hardware failures..

I have a question. My roommate bought a PS3 and a 360 and is trying to get them online. We use a wireless internet connection through my landlord's router and while the PS3 goes online no problem, I guess wasn't paying attention to hardware changes because apparently the 360 doesn't have built-in wireless capabilities? How can we get the 360 online wirelessly?

You can go as GameMAster said.
I also found that if your computer has a spare ethernet port or one that you aren't using.
You can run the Xbox 360 through that but of course needs a comp nearby and slows down its connection.

but saves you 100 bucks.

The 360 also connects wirelessly to a futuristic version of the internet exclusive to the 360 that runs a million times faster than the current fastest broadband earthly internet. That explains the price.

And I was wondering, does Nintendo sell in Turkey? Or did you get your Wii somewhere else as well?

Yes, Nintendo does sell in Turkey. Nintendo Turkey opened about a year before the launch of the Wii. They overcharge for everything, but still, it's nice to just look around shops and decide what to buy :)

By the way, that wifi adapter is one of the most overpriced piece of electronics I've ever seen. But I need one. Nice move MS.

And speaking of failures, my DS Lite's speakers died today. I've been using headphones for a few weeks, and a couple of days ago, I had problems with that - I had to have it plugged in halfway to get sound from the headphones. I couldn't fix it, and while trying to plug it in and out, my DS froze a couple of times. Then when I turned it on again, it said I had no game inserted. Then today, I turn it on, and after a few "no game inserted" messages, I got the game running - with no sound coming out of the speakers. My DS has been giving me a lot of trouble recently :( And now I found out that I have to have it repaired. Damn.

$100 for an adapter? Are you freakin kidding me? For a system that boasts so many online features you'd think that it'd include wireless functionality, you know like the other two consoles...

Maybe we could connect it to a laptop. You just run an ethernet cord from the 360 to the computer? Yeah that would be fine.

Wired is better for gaming anyway. Just find a nice way to hide the cable and you're set.

I got the wireless adapter for Christmas last year. I've had no problems with it.

Yeah I just bought a long cable for cheap. Deal extreme has the tool to make the cables too and sell the tips in bulk if you're interested.

At any rate, I just got on Live a week or two ago. ID is ThatMarioLover.

Wired is better in every situation, ever.

That being said, never buy your cables from retail. You can find good cables for pennies on the dollar. Just need to remember where...

Hey guys I have a question that relates to Xbox hardware problems. My roomate's Xbox 360 is all of a sudden displaying every disc he puts in as "unplayable" We tried a laser disc cleaner and that worked for a brief time but now its doing it again. No type of disc will play. I mean I know the Xbox hardware is crappy, but can anything be done?

Call up MS and check out the warrantee. They'll give you your options. Or lie and say its the red rings of death and get a new one.

I'm a Christian? Really? Thats odd considering I don't believe that Jesus was the son of God...

Wait, who was a Christian again?

Anyway, advising people to lie just sucks in my opinion.
