Hmmmm. My friends were doing this 4 years ago. Quite a nifty trick. I never had the balls to do it though. Didn't care enough to try to get a free pop. I think our school started getting suspicious when the machine would be fully stocked one day and then almost completely cleaned out the next.

There was a Snapple vending machine at college where if you just had long enough arms you could reach in the dispenser and just knock out the whole bottom row of drinks out. Some guy did it once, but then some friends broke some of the bottles. It was silly.
