Look, I love PSP. But where the hell is my Final Fantasy, my Devil May Cry, my real Metal Gear Solid?

I have to side with Dyne. The DS has a game for just about every taste and gamers both casual and hardcore.

On the other side of the spectrum, the PSP has jack **** (so far). You can't count emulated games. Those aren't officially endorsed or provided by Sony and not everyone can or knows how to go about 'homebrewing'.

With IGN, the DS has seven games that have scored 9.0 or higher.

The PSP only has three.

On GameSpot, the DS has three superb games (9 or higher).

The PSP, just two.

There is no argument, as of now, the DS offers a greater library of excellent games.

Err, I wasn't really trying to prove anything so much as I was just stating my personal opinions... Can't really back that up with facts other than the fact that I personally think neither system currently has a very tasty selection of games... A fact which is only relevant to me, and perhaps people who care too much about what I think...

I was never a big Sonic fan, I've never played a Kirby game, I'm not big on puzzles (Lumines is enough for me, and since I already own it, Meteos isn't really much of an incentive to buy a DS as well), Advance Wars was pretty fun, but I never finished it and I don't know if I'd be interested in starting another... Mario/Luigi is a maybe...

The only game that really makes me wish I had a DS is Castlevania... Mario/Luigi and Kirby are games I would probably also pick up if I owned the system, but I would not buy the system for either of them...

Other than that, it should be pretty obvious that not everybody likes Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, or Nintendogs... Not everybody likes GTA, Final Fantasy or Metal Gear... Or the color blue, lasagna or fancy cars...

IGN has more high-ranking DS games than high-ranking PSP games...
But other than the fact that IGN writers themselves (on the forums and such) have said that readers shouldn't really compare reviews for one system to reviews for another system (different staff, different standards, etc), those numbers don't really mean much to the people who simply aren't interested in those games...

Null isn't really particularly interested in the games of either system, and neither am I... And we can't be the only two gamers out there who feel this way...
Saying "Jesus Christ, *name here*. No." isn't going to change that...

As for your edits, you were deceived by the forums... After I submitted that reply, I closed the browser and popped in a movie...

No I didn't mean you in those edits, I meant Null.

You can't detract from the original point. The PSP game lineup sucks, "by far". The DS has a pretty good lineup - not the absolute best, but still pretty god damn awesome for not having Pokemon yet. Tastes have nothing to do with it - the collective "taste" of the game industry speaks through all of the reviews.

I don't care what you do or don't like.

End of story.

Well that was confusing, as you only quoted me :>

And you can't detract from the fact that that's a matter of opinion...

There are people out there who like DS more, there are people out there who like PSP more, there are people out there who like both equally, and people who don't care for either...

Electronic Arts...
Their games, for the most part, sell big, and receive good reviews...

Yet that doesn't prevent what seems to be a good majority of Nintendo fans from writing them off as crap and cursing the ground they walk on (or at least shrugging and muttering "eh")...

Look, my original point is, your and Null's taste in games sucks if you think the entire DS lineup sucks.

Have a nice day.

Not much of a point, you're just coming off as one of those indie music snobs... Only... With games instead of music...

Too bad most review sites agree with me on this point.

When it comes to music, "review" sites are all over the map.

*points to his comment about EA*...

The indie music snob comment was meant in the sense that people are constantly having passionate arguements about music, yet when it comes down to it, they're as thin as "My taste in music is better than yours"...
They replace "Opinion" with "Taste" and suddenly it sounds more valid...

It's a vague, unfounded attempt to push their opinion higher than someone else's...

I'd probably take you a bit more seriously if you stopped using so many damned ellipses.

It's a subconscious thing to get mad at someone for always seeming unsure about his sentences. I can't trust you or your opinion if you never complete your thoughts and "fade out" or "pause" or whatever tone you're trying to set.

It's a habit I picked up years ago...

Perhaps you'd take me more seriously if I stopped biting my finger nails?

Why don't you side with me GM. I was the one who originally stated that DS > PSP in games. Hellooooooooooooo. DS has many great games, and the reviews on average have proved this too.....and I have proved it by playing them and enjoying them.
