Yeah, if it holds 4 you can put 4 in but if not, just get a 512.

As for old RAM, I just store it and sell it to someone I know that may need it. Or sell it online if need be.

I just kept my old 512 stick in there and put in another 512 stick. Ive still got one empty slot in my mobo.
