LOL, the "yes" in that poll is winning by a landslide. (13 for yes, 0 for no, and 0 for I don't care)

Playing some Contra and Super Mario 3 on me Gamecube, awww, one can only dream... :D

Thanks for supporting this guys! I had thought about a GCN disc Idea, but realized it wouldn't work, because the Ideas for the 20 best games were so that they wouldn't beenhanced, plus the GCN CPU most likley wouldn't work with the NES CPU because of major differances. The Idea of the system would be more of a "Collector's Item", or a replacement for those who have had their NES die after playing it until the cord one the controller brakes, (I had a friend who did this). As for what Shooter and other's had said about slapping a sticker on the system, boxes game, etc. I agree, and would actually like to see an "Anniversary Seal" Stamped into the system itself as well as printed on the box. Another reason behind making the NES again instead of releasing a GCN disc, is so that people who have certain NES game, but a broken system, can play the games they already have, as well as the "20th Anniversary Edition" copies with slightly differnt packaging.

I hope this clears up why I want the system re-made, and not just the games.

Yes, my NES is broken. Finding another one in 2002 is near the impossible. Let's get that petition rolling! :D

i love the idea...i think it would really sell if they keep the cost reasonable

Actually, you could easily get one on ebay for real cheap and if online shopping isn't your thing you could probably find someone at your school who is willing to sell it. Of course you wouldn't be able to get a brand new one, but finding a used one is pretty easy.

Now that I have the option of getting a 20th Anniversary though, I don't want an old one. :(

I think it's a really great idea and sounds really cool..one thing though... Platinum is MUCH more expensive than silver...in fact it's more than twice as expensive than gold.

And looking at all you have for this really expenseive metal, this would cost an ABSOLUTE minimum of $1000 (an average platinum necklance with a small diamond pentant is $700, and think of how much smaller that is than the above proposed), and I can't see how it could be that cheap.

If it was out of a silver plastic, or even a cheap silver you could probably pull it off though (and just tell people it was platinim or somthing). It sounds like a GREAT idea though!!

Thanks for the support everyone, but to reply to Kitana's post, I probably should have cleared this idea up. The system wouldn't be made out of "real" platinum, it would be platinum colored, just like the gold N64 isn't "gold", it's gold colored. Also read my next new thread, you'll see somthing intersting in it.
