Anyways, great collections guys. I'm going to take a few pictures of mine later, and post them. Maybe this weekend...because it's going to be a lot of work to get all my old games and stuff out. I'm like Dyne...I never sell or throw away anything. |

Do you have any idea what I am talking about? How do you plan to do this?Perhaps. What does "this" refer to?Interesting explanation. Who said going to be a lot of work to get all his or her old games and stuff out is?In what way?Would you ever like to sell or throw away anything? |
Re: Your collection
At the risk of getting laughed at, here is my collection for your viewing pleasure.
I also want to go into a bit more detail about my systems -NES (first design) -Game Boy (gray, first design) -Super NES (first design) -Nintendo 64 (black) -Game Boy Color (clear purple) -Game Boy Advance (clear purple [its fancy name escapes me at the moment]) -Gamecube (black) -Game Boy Advance SP (cobalt) -PS2 (first design) In case this kind of topic comes up often, have the mods considered making this a sticky topic for people to look at? People can update their video game collections in their posts, or people can submit their ign.com links and leave them there. |
Re: Your collection
Someone likes Carmen Sandiego a little too much..

Re: Your collection

Re: Your collection
I agree that having so many games without working for them (well, there are also reasonable exceptions like birthdays [depending on quantity]) appears shameful. However, I've got to admit that I feel games are much more satisfying as gifts... when you don't have to enjoy a game simply because you spent hard-earned money on it.
I'm in a large family, so holidays are cheap and I've never had allowance. I still have a decent collection due to my brother's purchases, my own, and some combined birthdays. Even so, work seemed to kill my interest in gaming. I'm happy for you, Dyne, if you can enjoy all of your games. But, if you're wanting the size to impress me, sorry... I'm impressed by merchandise bought by sweat. I am impressed, however, if you use your free time (without having a job, that is) to make use of all the good games. Game on, mah brotha. |
Re: Your collection
Oh, you bet I enjoy all these games. None of them goes to waste. I see massive collections at IGN and Gaming-Age, and some people still have their games in plastic. I shed a tear whenever someone brings a game home and doesn't even open it. My rough guess is that a quarter of my games have been completed 100%, half have been played through a lot, and the remaining quarter are too frustrating to sit down and play. The last quarter is mostly comprised of games on the NES and Genesis games.
I have so many games to beat, I pushed my Playstation RPG backlog off the list. I haven't bought an RPG in a while, either. I officially quit them. I'm going on a game fast now to beat all these games. I will only buy Zelda: Minish Cap for the next three months. Ulala, I am envious of your collection. :D I wish I had more Sega CD games. And I've never played Space Channel 5. I hear it's awesome. |
Re: Your collection
OKay, I got pictures (pain in the cheek, too). They're a little dark, though... and blurry... Not so much you can't tell what it is, however...
Anyway.... ![]() This is my shelf. It has all of my video games, except the one's I'm playing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yep.. *shrugs and walks away* |

I once posted my collection some place, and one guy dissed the games I had. To quote him, he said: "I dunno if I should laugh, cry, or both to the games you have listed on ALL platforms. 95-98% of those games YEARS ago. Damn. And most I wouldn't recommend to anyone over the age of 14. (Except for maybe a few.)" I don't really understand his comments though. Especially what he said about most of my games being old. So this is what I said to him in response: "Yeah, well you know what? I don't give a f***. And guess what else? Most of the platforms on my list are from YEARS ago anyway. You know, NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy Color. So of course the games I've got listed for them will be old with them. So f*** you." I'll apologize about my Carmen Sandiego collection though. I had all of those back when they were in style. I may not do much with them anymore, but I still have them, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to put them up on my list. Besides, I'm not really a computer gamer anyway. Next on my list of games to get is The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Next week! |
Re: Your collection
Bah, don't listen to him. He's probably just anti-Nintendo.
There's nothing wrong with Carmen Sandiego. :D I think I have a PC version lying around somewhere, maybe I should add that. I used to play it a lot in Elementary school. |

Remember back in the Lincoln day we would always play "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" and "Duke Nukem"...and then our computer teacher got fired for letting 7-10 year olds play Duke Nukem. I loved that guy. |

I just think I owe a lot to Nintendo though. I grew up with their games. I'm no fanboy by any means though. Besides, as an adult gamer, I'm not too proud to buy other companies' products. Hell, Nintendo's next system could consist of nothing but T-rated and M-rated games, and they'd still be the "kiddie company". Anyway I'll be satisfied as long as they keep the classics coming. As for Carmen Sandiego, I didn't really get into it until the game show came out when I was 12. Then later on I started getting the games. I missed out on all the non-CD-ROM versions though. |
