They said the puck didnt cross the line because it was inconclusive. But i was watching CBC and they showed it like 30 times in slow motion and zoomed in, and it was totally over.

But it sucks that the Flames lost it, cant wait for monday though.

espn also showed it every chance they got. prolly same angle too. you could clearly see white between the puck and the line.

Yeah, that was pretty bad... But the fact that they had to zoom in to see if it was a goal or not really shows that it was the correct call. I mean, it was a goal by like a cm.... Still a goal nonetheless, but whatever. I'm pretty drunk right now, so I am not even sure if what I'm saying makes sense.

a goals a goal. doesnt matter if its by a cm or by a mile. All that shows is that they need to fire the people who review the play and get some with some eyes, because that was CLEARLY a goal. and CLEARLY shoulda gave them the win on home ice.

the fact that they had to zoom in to see it, just means the people on the TV stations know how to work the replays while the people at the building did not.

If i was Tampa, while i was sitting on my high horse, i would be thinking about this little tidbit of info. No team has won a back-to-back game in this series. :D

Tampa is more certainly not sitting on a high horse.

And no team has done it in this series is exactly one of the reasons why it just might happen.

It might very well turn out to be one of thoes contraversal things for years to come, Calgary won it on a goal that was disallowed but shoulda counted.....then TB comes back to win game 7.

we might never hear the end of it in the hockey world.

Like when Hull scored to win the Cup.... but his foot was in the crease. Should not have been a goal, but it was counted.

yes. and i still heard about that in this years playoffs.

(helps tho that both hasek and hull are on the wings so gives them a reason to talk about it)

But this time it has the possibility of being much much worse. When hull scored it didnt determine which team won. in all likely hood stars woulda won anyway even if they lost that game. This time if Calgary does not win. people are going to look back at that goal and be very very sour for years to come.

Good for Anderchuk! As I thought about it, I kinda wanted Tampa to win. This is because Iggy has like 15 more seasons to win a cup, while this was probably Chuck's last season.

What a way to finish a 22 year career.

good for tampa tho, they deserved it. (so did calgary)
but calgary blew it for themselves at the end with that hit. and iginla really shoulda got a misconduct for the way he acted over it. that guy has a pretty big temper and he's allowed to show it off when ever he feels.

i like seeing the home team win. But i tell ya what. Calgary sure as hell woulda thrown a bigger party if calgary won game 6. I was a bit dissapointed at tampas party.

In detroit when the wings won (expecially in 97) the very second the game was over, confetti fell from the roof, fireworks went off. it was crazy. Tampa finally droped ballons but only after the players went to the locker room.
It woulda been more exciting to drop em all the instant they won. (what little there was anyway)

But anywho. Good job Tampa. Congrats.

thats 1 championship for the detroit pistons owner, lets go for #2. GO PISTONS!!!!!!

The only reason Iginla might get away with it is that he is captain. The captains get to vent more if they do stupid stuff like that, and are generally treated easier. I agree that it would have been way better if they dropped the balloons right away, more exciting.
