Re: Space Madness Round 1 - Strange Transmission

On second thought, if the crazies are the ones that don't post, then why am I voting for Swan?

There are a few people who have not posted very much at all:

Professor S (who is pretty much always a bad guy), Angrist, ThatMarioLover, Aladuf, Yoda, and to a certain extent, Dyne and Bube.

I'm going to go with the Prof.

!Retract Swan

!Vote Professor S

Although I still think Swan is highly suspicious, and this vote could change again later. But if we're going to assume that one of the crazies is someone who isn't posting very much, I'm going to assume one of those people.

Just because we didn't take part in your discussion with Typh doesn't mean we don't post. It just seems like that in comparison :)

And you did make a statement that could be a lie. I said that I "think" you're lying, and I didn't vote for you (yet) :)

Everybody lies here. %80 percent of all things said is a lie.

And come on Vamp, no hard feelings.. Since we don't know anything, we're just clinging onto every little thing and making up theories. It's not like we hate you :)

I understand, it just seems like my theory is the one that makes the most sense. :\

Voting for me because I HAVE a theory is what I don't understand, especially since the vast majority of the people are starting to do that, and no one is complaining that I'm receiving votes, yet there -were- people complaining when Swan was receiving votes.

If I am crazy, where are my comrades? All I'm asking is that you read over the thread and see everything that was written, and trust your intuition. If you really read, you'll see that as a Crazy person I would have nothing to gain from instigating this, that all I did was present a logical plan, and the fact that suddenly a lot of people are voting for me is very suspicious.

Re: Space Madness Round 1 - Strange Transmission

Could somebody do a vote count? I already did one.

Based on the posts, there are some people I trust, but way more who I don't trust.

For the time being, I'll !vote Flunkie44

Re: Space Madness Round 1 - Strange Transmission

Okay, I just read back over the votes and tallied them. Reading through the thread since about page 8, I think it's really obvious that Swan, and probably Jeepnut and Typhoid with him, are crazy. Jeepnut is only a maybe, though. He seems to genuinely be concerned about who's being an active player.

@Jeepnut: I think you also need to think about the implications of voting like that. You think that the first round is nothing but random choices, but it's NOT. The Crazy people probably know who each other are, and based on voting patterns you can at least make an educated guess rather than a random choice.

So, I

!Retract Professor S (even though I think he's suspicious)

and

!vote Swan

And the current tally is:

Uber: 4
Germantor: 1
Swan: 3
Yoda: 1
Vampyr: 4
Professor S: 1
Teuthida: 1
Flunkie: 1
Combine: 0 (Listing him because someone voted for him and then retracted)

I don't like it when people try to manipulate people, so on that basis I !vote Vampyr.

Except I never tried to manipulate anyone, try to find an example of this, please.

!Retract Swan

!vote Uber Paddler

I don't like it when people stack their votes onto someone just to save their own skin.

Hm... with such a close call, you'd expect the crazy peeps to defend their team mate by voting for an innocent man. Instead of letting them both die.

Maybe they're both innocent and we have a lot of laughing thirds here.
But I expect the votes to change in the next hours. We'll see. :) I'll stick with Flunkie44, because he hasn't posted much, but those few posts were a bit nervous.

I actually do think we're both innocent, but I'm not going to let Uber just pwn me like that.

And retaliating with a vote to him is the only way to stay alive. I still think Swan is a crazy (along with some people like Gamemaster and Prof. S who are flying under the radar). Flunkie is a possibility too, he hasn't posted very much and seems to just go with the crowd on most things. His vote for Swan could have just been a decoy, he changed it pretty quickly.

But unless we can get some support for someone else, I can't afford to change my vote. :(

Be careful there, sir. You didn't retract your previous vote of Germy. Just letting you know, your votes may not count after that if you don't put the retraction before your vote. An edit would do I'm sure.

EDIT: Oops, I beg your pardon, sir. I see that you retracted in a separate post. Forgive me.

If you have an idea of someone to vote for, possibly someone who's not been posting much to avoid suspicion, I'll change my vote to them if you do. It needs to be someone we have a possibility of voting off, though, not someone who only has zero votes. Swan is a possibility, but Yoda, Prof S, Flunkie, and Gamemaster have also been quiet.

EDIT: In addition to what Manasecret said, be very sure to post your retractions. It makes it about 100x easier to tally up the votes.

Didn't realize Swan had 4 votes. I guess I'd rather be tied with someone I think is Crazy than someone I don't think is.

!Retract Uber

!Vote Swan

New Tally:

Vampyr 5
Uber 4
Swan 5
ProfS 1
Yoda 1
Fyacin 1
Flunkie 1
Germy 1
Teuthida 1

Normally I wouldn't think of you to be that suspicious, but doing all this posting and switching around your vote and such has made me think otherwise.
