I think we will see a few upsets again this week especially Atlanta over Philly. I also like Pittsburgh, San Fran, and Oakland, although the Jets definitely have a chance if they don't turn the ball over.

ZebraRampage 01-11-2003 10:12 AM

Well I think that the winners of this week will be the Eagles, Bucs, Titans, and I'm not sure about the last game, but I sort of think the Raiders are gonna win.

Perfect Stu 01-11-2003 10:42 AM

it looks like the Jets vs. Raiders will be the most exciting game of the week

:D can't wait

LOL!!! The Eagles outclass the Falcons in nearly every position. If the Eagles lose to the Falcons, I'll put "Eagles Suck!" in my sig until next season.

cubeman420 01-11-2003 02:21 PM

I will be looking forward to seeing that if it happens. I know the eagles are definitely a better team, but if you look at the way the playoffs have gone over the past few years the better teams always seem to find a way to lose IMO.

Professor S 01-11-2003 03:41 PM

I agree, but I think this applies more for teams like the Jets who are playing as complete teams. The Falcons have Vick... and Vick. They'll go man against Gaylord and Finneran (who the Eagles cut last year) as they are complete humps, and keep nine men in the box for most of the game. The Falcons offense just doesn't match up.

cubeman420 01-11-2003 04:23 PM

I look at the way the falcons front seven has played in big games this year and philly doesn't have a dominant RB, I think Mcnabb will be quite rusty and if ATL can force turnovers like they have been doing, they will keep it close enough that Vick will be the Difference in the end.

and the titans wiiiiiiin

Jason1 01-11-2003 11:08 PM

*sighs*

Pittsburgh got screwed on that last play. First off, they should do it the same way they do in college, that sudden death crap is bull ****. Both teams should have a chance to get the ball. And that roughing the kicker was an accident. Obviously. It wasnt even that bad, you cant say that wasnt nothing more than acting on the part of the kicker...he wasnt hit hard, and he fell like he was...complete bull...I had my whole family on my mom's side over to the house, all steeler fans...that game was so good, it just sucks so much to get screwed by a referee.

Joeiss 01-11-2003 11:18 PM

How did they get screwed? If you make contact with the kicker, it is a penalty. SIMPLE.

And I was going for the Steelers too, oh well... There is always next year I guess.

The f***ing kicker took like two steps forward after making the kick and washington barely made contact after that. He missed the kick and the refs took it upon themselves to give him another chance plain and simple. Not that I'm bitter or anything, because we probably shouldn't have beaten Cleveland. The same thing happened in the Philly game when they called that roughing the punter when it should've only been running into the punter and that changed the whole game. I will say that Philly deserved to win however and imo Tennessee didn't.

Perfect Stu 01-12-2003 10:28 AM

Did the player bump into the kicker? yes.

Result? (no matter what the situation, score of the game, OT or not) 5 yard penalty.

It's tough to see a game end like that...but the refs did their job.

Jason1 01-12-2003 10:36 AM

Its called ''Roughing the Kicker'' not ''Barley touching the kicker and having him fall down like an ass hole''

and also, Deion Sanders is a ****face.

Perfect Stu 01-12-2003 11:37 AM

it doesn't matter what it's called...the 15 yard penalty is roughing the kicker....the 5 yard penalty is called running into the kicker...and the rule is that if you hit the kicker, there's a penalty. live with it...your team lost

ZebraRampage 01-12-2003 11:45 AM

I wasn't too happy with the Eagles offense against the Falcons. They should have at least scored another Touchdown, but they won and that is all that matters.
