http://xboxmedia.ign.com/xbox/image/halo2_011504_006.jpg Just like the guys did at Nightmarearmor.com and now their site is down. I have all the instructions on how and what I need to pull this off. We'll see if we can make this for relatively cheap as compared to those guys.

I will start with the chest armor, then arms and legs, and after i'm experienced at that stuff, i'll go for the helmet.

tomorrow i'm going to see if i can get guys together and fund this endevour... it'll be great. Later, samus armor and stuff like that...

so this will take some time... i'll document it so far we're starting with good blueprints of the suit:

just curious, at what point does this start to be classified as an obsession?

probably at this point... but hey, i'll be learning a new hobby and trade...

you've got to admit, a lot of poeple would like armor of their own, if only to wear on holloween

add a poll, and we'll see!

You seem uncertain. Do you often use a computer there?Interesting.
You've got my full attention. How do you plan to do this?I don't have to do whatever you say. I have my own free will.

Are you talking about Star Wars Space battles? Becuase if you are they had groups by colours. for example: Red 5 ( luke Skywalker),l Red 3, Gold 4. Oh and Rouge Squaderen. That was supposed to be an elite group or something.

What would you even do with the costume? Just have it or wear it? I think it would be great to go to a mall or something and walk around.

*thinks of Triumph the insult comic dog* :D "we're now witnessing the ritual banging of the plastic toys!" Hm that wasn't really correct. Gotta love it. :p (If you haven't seen it [or like to see it again:D]: http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/trailers/ROFL.STARWARS.NERDS.wmv )

I'd like one of those hoodies that IGNs Matt is wearing!

He says that Target sells them, but I can't find them on their website. And I don't think they'd ship to Holland.... :(

some of them. but the store, i forget its name, has more, and some pretty funny ones too.

I have a plain Nintendo shirt like that; it's white with the red logo. I saw a couple people at PAX with hoodies like that. I also saw a guy with a Nintendo Power track suit. Now that was le pwnage.

Hey Cany, check this out. It's not a hoodie, but the same color and style (the top one, of course): http://www.emp.de/bin/shop.php?prog=shop&funktion=PRODUCTFRAME&article=109143&origin=outer

alright, never judge a work in progress, but i thought i'd show you what is happening so you can see the progression:

everything is real rough, i haven't bought any sand paper yet... plus the pictures suck... you can't see the plane changes.

:devil2: the halo armor is a good thing but not when someone makes them self they should have someone whose dose that for a living and it would look so bad

How's the armor coming along? Incase you've becomed discouraged, I found a company that makes the suits for $3,500. They're currently not selling them because they're relocating their workshop and stuff I think but I believe they plan on selling them again as well as other suits.

Here's an article about them: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo/news_6086541.html

And here's their site: http://www.nightmarearmorstudios.com/index.html

They have some cool pictures at their site in the 'future' section. Anyway, give us an update and some pictures of your progress.

awesome. send a picture when it's finished. i never played halo, but that armor does look pretty cool.(but i have seen RvB) but yeah, every year, at the end of school for the japaanese animation club, there's a cosplay party. went as Neo last time. going as a gundam or EVA or something of that sort would be awesome. but yeah, keep up the cool work!

I say he should wear it for totally mundane things.
Go out in full armour, helmet and all, do laundry.
Just sit there casually and wait.
Walk a dog...play catch with the neighbourhood kids...grocery shopping, fixing a spare tire, raking leaves.
