Super Smash Brothers Tournament!

I'm going to one soon (Soul Caliber II, DDR, and Street Fighter Alpha III also.)

So Does anyone know any of the technical aspects of the game such as:

Free Holds, Top Character, combos (I know a sweet grab combo with C. Falcon)

Blah Blah...

It would be nice to know things more technical about the game.


EDIT: To clarify, this is a Melee tournament. I was just assuming no one actually played the first game anymore.

Also, Vampyr. It's Friday Oct. 29th and it starts at 6 PM. If you could book it after school we could take you, but I doubt your parents would be up for it. Apparently you have to be with a student from UK...

Fox is one of the top-tier characters.

Go take a trip to Gamefaqs! That's helped me many a time for Smash tourneys. That's where my friend goes, and he won last year's tournament - he doesn't even own a gamecube.

So yeah, in the tournament I'm going to you have to choose either Zelda/Shiek and stick with it.

So I will play Fox.

The rules are 1 vs. 1, 4:00 minute matches, no items.

I'm learning some really technical Fox stuff from GameFaqs. I didn't know about the L-canceling but I've gotten it down today. The Wavedashing I did know about, and I use it occasionally, But I'll try to add it to my game some more.

I saw a video of his infinite combo thing, it was sweeeeet. They call it "Shine Combo" or something. Sweet.

I don't think anyone down there is actually that technical, but I'm going to a con in january and it's pretty large. I CAN'T WAIT!

It's sweet that you are getting to go to a reall video game tournament...and I'd give a lot of things to go but I doubt that my parents would let me. Oh well...It can't hurt to ask so I'll see into it. Good luck and I hope you win. :D
