Well well, it snowed here today. Not cold enough for it to stay on the ground (like, wet snow), but it still snowed (I attached a pic, you can see this wet snow).. Also I heard Edmonton, Alberta got hit pretty hard with snow a couple days ago (I think).
Anyway, seeing as winter is just around the corner (I guess, depending on where you live):
1. What is your favourite thing about winter?
2. Do you like cold weather?
3. How much does it snow where you live, and how cold does it usually get?
Honestly I am a winter type of person. I like the winter for several reasons: 1. no annoying mosquitos 2. outdoor skating rinks 3. snow just looks nice. and 4. hockey. I like it cold outside, but not -35 + windchill freeze my ass off kind of cold. And it snows a lot here, and often we get lower than -30 temperatures.
Also today was pretty damned cold here. It was around -2 for the whole day, and -5 over night. Proof: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cities/can/pages/CAON0664.htm
Though it's gonna warm up next week apparently. It felt really cold because we're not used to it yet. And I had to work tonight... in the cold (I work at a full service gas station, being the reason why I work outside). And... I dont know about you guys but this part of the world had a CRAPPY summer. I mean, one week in August is was like.. cold. I woke up one morning, my window was open and I was freezing my ass off. So, I think we're in for a brutal winter. Lot's of coldness, lot's of snow.
And yes, I took this picture early this afternoon, I was driving.

Usually, it doesnt snow here, its too hot.
I think last year we onyl got like....a few inches that stuck on the ground.
I miss when it used to snow here.
My favourite thing about Winter is Christmas, and the unusual good mood everyone is in around then.
Cold Weather is alright, it doesnt really bother me.
Wow......-2..
I played soccer today, and it was 13 with windchill.

About 28 inches of rain around my parts YEARLY. I usually see a bit of snow on top of the mountains surrounding me for a week or two in the middle of winter.
I love cool weather though. Maybe it's because it's not so often that I get fripples.
Average Winter Temperature is about a blistering 50 degrees fahrenheit
After December 10th, I'm really hoping that it snows EVERYONE IN BC in! That would be so damn awesome. I don't have school for two months anyways. If I'm snowed in for two months I might be able to finish all my RPGs!

Here in Vermont it's starting to get pretty cold. During the day it gets up to about 55 and night it dips into the mid 30s or so. While this is my first fall here, I have heard that it snows A TON here and I do look forward to that because I love snow. Though because our school has a long field work term break from January-mid February, we miss most of the coldest and most snowy months, which is probably for the best.

I like the concept of being 'snowed in'. It reminds everyone that we're all nature's b*tch.

I like winter because of rain. We don't have snow here in my city but I can get to some in about a 3 or 4 hour drive. But today we had one of our first rains and it was really enjoyable. I like looking at it and listening to patter on the roof. It's nice listening to it while positioned in bed too.

It snowed in Prince George so BC is seeing snow now too.

Now GM has stolen my avatar/sig
But I usually don't mind snow too much. But last year's snow here sucked. 1 snowstorm in a week, next week another snowstorm which also gave like a foot of snow, then 3-4 days later another "mini-snowstorm" that gave us another 6 inches. Wasn't the funnest :p

Though Im a fan of snow and coming from California... you dont see much... but since then I moved to NJ, and what I cant stand from snow is, shoveling snow... thats the one thing I hate about snow... sure it makes everything look pretty damn nice... but then the snow gets dirty and nasty...then you gotta shovel it...

I love winter. It is my favorite season. Snow is nice because it is so pretty (yes, i'm a girl). I really don't like rain, and that is what's going on here right now. But when it gets cold enough for snow, i'm thrilled. I love being able to bundle up in my blankets and look out the window and see white forever.

Yeah!!! It snowed here in Central Minnesota yesterday! It was only flurries and the ground isn't frozen yet, so none accumulated, but it's a start! I can't wait until we get some on the ground. I may be 19, but I still love to go sledding. Weeeee!
It's warm and muggy in Texas.

I took this picture today and it pretty much sums up what the weather is like now.

It can get pretty damn cold in Chicago, and we've had 2+ feet of snow, but that's like a once every 10 years ordeal. Most winters you'll get one big storm with 8-12 inches and a bunch of little ones.
Personally, the weather the past week has been, IMO, perfect. Cloudy, some rain and mid 50s.
Absoutly perfect weather. Not too cold, but not at all warm. A sweater but no coat and, best of all, no direct sunlight.

I'm excited for winter. Although I also love summer, too much of it can get old. I'm ready for snow again although I'm not all that crazy about the cold. Especially early in the morning on my way to class.

Winter and Autmun are my two favorite seasons. They're not hot and sunny, and they both reflect who I am as a person. Also, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, my Birthday, and New Years is during these two seasons.
I love colder weather. Hot weather just makes me feel uncomfortable because I get very sweaty, and I just can't stand outside for too long without that happening. When it's cold, I can always put on a jacket or a coat to feel warmer, but it normally doesn't bother me. I also prefer to wear pants, which is hard to do in the summer. I also love to just stand outside during twilight after it has snowed, and stare out at my whole neighborhood and town. It's very quite, and you can hear the cool breeze, and there's that distinct smell, and I just love it. It's kind of eerie, but also peaceful.
Well in the Philly area we usually get on average about 3-5 inches of snow per snow storm. We've gotten over 12 inches quite a few times before, and I even think over a few days of getting snow, we got around 2 feet of snow, which was two years ago I believe. It's not fun shoveling a driveway with a steep hill though.
Right where I live, it's like Vancouver.
Not quite as much rain but not much snow either. I live by okanagan lake and we never manage to get more than a few inches that stay around for a while.
2 winters ago it didn't snow once at my place.
Oh well.
*prays for MEGA snow*
I live for boarding.

Actually, I have very sensitive eyes. Sunlight can, at times, give me a headache you ass.

Let's talk about snow. I'm from Bufallo, Infamous home of all things snow-related.
People are too whiny about snow. To quote a local comedian:
"People in California get into 23-car wrecks going 10 in two inches of snow. Here in Buffalo, we're going 90 down the sidestreets, coffee iin one hand, while we're flicking icicles off of the windshield with the other."
