I have come here to day to EMPLORE all gba owners to go out and pick up Astro Boy Omega Factor (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242659.asp). I was in Best Buy today, and I stumbled upon the game. Apparently it's based some weird/super Japanese cartoon on Cartoon Network, but that's not what caused me to purchase it. No, rather the Sega logo on the front was enough to make me take a second look and on the back there it was, awfully tiny (like the developers logo usually is) "Treasure Video Games"

Well, we can't not buy it now. I didn't even realize Treasure was still around. So I figure there's no way this can possibly be bad, and even if it is, it's a GBA game, so I'm only out $30.
Well, let me tell you. It's not as good as Gunstar Heroes, but it's damn close, and it has the same flavor. You don't have the whole two beam combo system of gunstar (you can actually punch with Astro, the ranged/beam attack is a secondary) but you can upgrade your health/weapons/jumping/etc. Perhaps best of all, this game is HARD. Well, it's not that hard because you have infinite continues, but actually beating stages will require you to figure out your enemies patters (sad is the day when that's something that comes as a "bonus" in games.) This is easily the best action game on GBA (ok, I haven't played many, but still.) If you're jonesin for a great GBA game, you've got to pick this up.
