My Link Character on City of Heroes

I made this Link (the Link from Ocarina of Time ;) ) back when the game first came out. My name in game is Link OoT because someone in the first hour of the game took the name Link :mad:.

And I know there are a few missing things. But with the character creator, it was the best I could get. I have no hat because they all don't match remotely close. And no shield because there isn't one.

I just figured I'd share it with you guys to get a little critiqueing :p

Looks pretty good for the tools that you had at your dispence. I made an Agent Smith Sim last night with the Sims 2 creator thing. Looks pretty good. Except the lenses on his sunglasses aren't dark enough. I think there's some external programs not made by E.A. for making Sims because some people that have uploaded their creations to the site have done amazing things.

Looks good. Face might be a little too fierce, but looks good. It would be awesome if you could find a model of Link on the internet and somehow put it into CoH. Then you would have Link. :)

Yeah, face is a little awkward but its the best out of the some odd number of faces available. I can still tweak it at any time so if they add new choices in the future, ill try them out :D

But Update3 when it comes out in December or so will have custom weapons so if I can put fire on my sword, I'll be really happy.

I want this game so bad though...Alas...if only I had a worthy computer. :( If it stands the test of time and I'll buy it in a couple of years when I get to college and get a new computer. Everquest has been around forever, so I can see this game lasting for a very long time.

So you've been playing it since the beginning? Can you fly yet? Is flying cool?

I can fly and have super speed. Flight is good. Its slower then other travel powers but not immensely slow. And yes, been playing since the beginning and won't stop until the servers get pulled, IF they ever do.

It shouldn't go away anytime soon. Each Update (up to 2 now) brings alot of new content and zones, etc..That help to keep the game fresh and going. And when City of Villains with PvP comes out next year, its only gonna get better. No exact details on PvP yet but they aren't gonna fark it up.

That sounds awesome, Jonbo. I really really want it, but I couldnt get it now even if I did have an awesome computer, considering I only have a dial up connection.

When I do get it eventually I'll be playing as a hero.

And I would wish to add....the game sounds sweet. But with CoH how does it work with no PvP? Like...a Diablo kind of thing to it or something?

It's gonna be a seperate game but connected to the Hero servers but not completely. Mainly just PvP. And this is nothing like FFXI, EQ, etc..This is a whole new MMORPG. You aren't killing rats, or sheeps, or goblins as all the other games do. Comparing this to any other MMORPG is a disgrace.

And CoH works good without PvP. I don't have any issues with it not being in.

Oh yeah, CoH has no crafting or loot. Its just fight the enemies. Not sit on your ass for hours crafting the ub3r +3 sword with the ub3r l00t you got.

And Vampyr, this game runs well on dialup. You'll probably have "button lag" which is just when you press a power, there will be a slight delay. But other then that, it runs very well. I've played it a few times using my cell as the internet connection.
