Well, I just figured a few of us are into using Photoshop. I just started, but I still think it would be fun if those of us that do Photoshop Art would post stuff we make.
Here's my first batch:

I have the last one in high resolution (desktop background) if anybody really wants it.

Haha. I know! I think that's the best part of Photoshopping. Just farting around. It's so much fun just to see what you can do with a simple picture or even just a color.
I particularly like your second one there.

I don't know how to do abstract picture like those. Can someone tell me general steps?

Hmm... I usually just been starting out with a background color of my choosing. Often times that color is just black. Then sometimes I do a Filter>Render>Difference Clouds. Then I sometimes do some Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates and Filter>Distort>Twirl. Then after I've done some cool stuff there I'll Filter>Blur>Radial Blur and set it to zoom, best quality, and set the level to 100. Then I'll usually select the layer I've been working on and duplicate it. Then I'll do a few changes to the new layer. Often times those are just repeats of the last few filter effects I've been mentioning. And after that's done I change the drop-down box that usually says normal (in the layers window) and change it to something else. Then I mess around with the opacities of each of the layers and presto.
Just mess around. Mix it up. Change stuff around. Have fun.
Oh, and go here and do a bunch of tutorials: http://www.good-tutorials.com/
Hope that helps.

The above picture was made completely without a Firebird or Phoenix in mind. The shape just came out after a filter I did. But I thought it was so cool that it came out that way I just left it.
I have both of those in desktop resolutions too.
Yep, there's some good tutorials out there.
Believe it or not, the top Gametavern image is only two filters.

Filter's are awesome, but it's also cool if you can learn to effectivaly use brushing techniques. Be sure to look at some tutorials on that kind of stuff as well.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be reading up on them.
Edit:
Just thought I'd add this pic. I'm pretty sure this thread is going to die. In case that happens, my pictures can be found at http://thatmariolover.deviantart.com (that's not really advertisement - just FYI).

And I did this photo manipulation today.

A Mario Shadow, that's great! Now you have to add Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Bowser and then make it wallpaper size.

That could be a lot of work. I'll have to puzzle out a technique for it.
I came up with a really interesting technique to make Mario's shadow look better against the wall. I copied large portions of the kid's shadows and pasted them into a new file and duplicated that same piece of shadow, trying to make it as big (and non-repetitious) as possible. Then I saved it as a pattern, selected the shadow for Mario, and filled it with that new pattern. Then I just messed around with opacity for a bit until I got it as good as I could get it.

! I'll have that for my desktop please! :D
Also, look at the shadow of Mario, the bricks are in the wrong line, if you know what I mean. But what the heck. :p
Oh yeah, perhaps you can MSN the file? Or mail it to angrist@home.nl. Thanks! :D

Man, there is a WAY easier way.
Just find pics of the characters, then make them into silhouettes (turn them black) then just make them semi-opaque.

Right. But I was trying to match them up with the characters on the wall that were already there. And they had a special color to their shadow (kind of a bluish purple hue) and I couldn't get it right with a color overlay or an adjustment layer (even with an eye dropper tool). I tried and tried.
Oh - and the desktop is on the way Canny :p

Wee.. If anybody's a fan of Homestar Runner they might understand this:

I just did that one today for a competition over at strongfans.com.
cant tell what the shadows are of... But you'll want to lighten up the opacity on them because shadows arent pitch black, you should be able to see thro them

What makes you say that I will want to lighten up the opacity on them because shadows are not pitch black you should be able to see thro them.

The pictures supposed to be much larger. It's much easier to see the opacity on the larger image. But if you look closely at that one, you can still see it.

Heh. Just a misunderstanding apparently :p
Anyway, I did another background. It's originally in 1600x1200 (you can see it on my Deviant Art page - link above), and I have to say it looks much better in a larger size, but I wanted to post it here.
