Well, I think Dark would be the absence of light and therefor, the opposite.

without light, theres nothing. i wouldnt say its its own thing because light is what creates it and takes it away. Its like him putting up 'Clean' on the list, to go with 'earth' (dirt)

I take light as "Holy" or "Spirit" and dark as "Evil".
