I'm trying to build a projector from taking a LCD monitor and some lenses.. however I'm trying to do it on a college persons budget.. :( So if anyone could point me in the direction of a good LCD monitor, +rep would be greatly lavished upon you :)

umm, i have a BenQ 17" lcd monitor. It works very well, it has a better refresh rate than either the Samsung and Viewsonic.

Those are both more geared for gaming. I don't know what you really want the LCD for.

They have some good reviews on LCD moniters. They go really hightech with their reviews.

Unless you can tell me a way to use a CRT monitor then I'm all ears :)

Sorry that sentence didn't read out right. I meant, I don't know what you want to use your LCD for.

ie. Gaming, DVDs, Browsing, all of that, etc.

Oh..thats cool.. :) Umm.... I'm trying to do all of that.. I mean if I can of course I'm not looking for something that automatically has 480i of course because I'll get an adapter for that and such :)

i still suggest the 17" BenQ monitor, its the most versatile.

Yeah, 17" benq would be nice but I don't want to spend a fortune.
