View Full Version : Luigi's Mansion gets modified for Europe

Actually, games like Luigi's Mansion and Animal Forest, which we've just recently released in Japan, are really being driven more by some of our younger directors at Nintendo. It's not so much my vision of what the game will be--I supervise the overall development of the game. It's true that the director of Luigi's Mansion still feels that if he'd had more time, he could have put a lot more into it and come out with a better game. And so to that extent I think he has some regrets about it.

Though, in the case of Luigi's Mansion, for the European launch, we've added some new elements to the hidden mansion that become accessible after you clear the game and strengthened that mode so that people will probably be interested in playing it a little longer than they did the US version.

I don't know how much is being added to this game, but it's a bonus, I suppose. I wonder if I could get this version of the game when I get a GameCube...

Is Shemnue 1 and 2 any good?? I saw it for 20 dollars here... should I get it??

Luigi's Mansion isn't on my GCN launch line-up, BUT if there is enough to make this game replayable I might get it.

It depends, some people love it, and others hate it. There's a thread about it in the Dreamcast section.

It's one of those love it or hate it games.

My friend said it was boring, but I'm going to buy Shemnue 1 just to see if Shemnue 2 is worth it.

Us europeans..... lucky.... you're joking right, we have missed out on things for years only now are companies starting to realise we are a serious market. You dont realise quite how good you've got it over there. This is excellent news thanx Nintendo.

Oh BTW: Shenmue and 2 are ace games. You get used to the Japanese speech in 2 after a while and also start to understand it or remember what things mean, eg. midaree/thankyou.

Does'nt give him the right to call me (and many other members of this board) a bastard, thats flaming which is against the rules. Apart from this stupid comment he made I think he is a good member and has posted a few good topics.

Ric, the guy was joking around...he didn't literally mean you were a bastard....but I understand how you'd feel bad...either way, his post should be edited IMO

Thankyou very much for your support, if I were to say all americans are bastards (which their not) even jokingly you would all get annoyed at me so I dont see what the difference is. If anyone thinks I over reacted, well, in light of recent circumstances in my life I feel I am entitled to.
