Not all of these are "this week only" type of deals and not all of them are going to be recent price drops but today I intend to start a weekly feature on games that are selling for a price lower than what they originally sold for.
There's only going to be a few rules for this column.
1) I'm going to try real hard to list at least one PC, GC, Xbox, and PS2 game every week. I'll try and throw in a GBA as well but don't count on it.
2) NO PRE OWNED GAMES. I hate used games and have no interest in getting my hands dirty looking for these sales.
3) Not all of these games will be games that I myself have played, and not all of these games will be games that I would even consider buying myself, but they will all be games that I consider worthy of someones gaming dollar. For example: I would never buy NBA2k5, or NBALive because I don’t like NBA Basketball but I know both of those games are decent video games and I would put them on the list if I found deals on either.
Notable prices on games for the week
Ground Control II 29.99 @ Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=645358) Here's a game that's less than 3 months old that got better than decent reviews when it came out. I'm not a fan of the tactical RTS games but if you are it's a steal at 30$
Rallisport Challenge 2 26.95 @ Amazon through Office Depot (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001CJEFY/qid=1093987171/br=1-16/ref=br_lf_vg_16//103-7609211-3280604?v=glance&s=videogames&n=1039056) An unbelievable game that's well worth 50. For 27 you're nuts not to pick this title up. Even if you're not a fan of rally racing this title (and its platinum hit little brother) are among the rare genre spanning games that can be enjoyed by all gamers. They're just that much fun.
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II 29.99 @ EB (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/235910.asp) A fantastic time waster. I'm not so sure this game was worth the 49.99 that I paid for it a few months ago but for 30 it's great for anyone who's a fan of hack and slash games.
F Zero GX 19.99 @ EB (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/233042.asp) I almost didn't include this game because I was able to pick it up last week for 11.99 at EB. Obviously that was a limited time deal. Nevertheless, after playing a good deal of it I'm convinced it's worth far more than 19.99 and if there's anyone left who might have considered picking this one up but for whatever reason didn't, now's the time. Easily my favorite F Zero game ever.
