I'm swedish. Well, i'm part swedish. This is my new excuse for why I can't get a decent (is that how its spelled?) tan.
Anyway, this is just a general thread about the fact that the summer is almost over in the northern hemisphere. I'm looking forward to school starting again. Been kind of bored lately. How about you all?
Chicken butt!!!???
But seriously, I'm in between because as it's getting close to school starting up it feels like it's taking a long time and that wouldn't bother me if I was actually doing something. But I am not. :(

I'll be happy next year, when I'm a senior. This year, I'm a junior. I'm expected to work my ass off, get a high score on the ACTs, and maintain some life outside of studying for classes that I don't really want to take.
Hooray!
I say bring on the summer. I'm going to sleep as little as possible over the last week of freedom.

I want it to still be summer, but i want school to start in a weird way. Because only in school do you see the friends that you arnt good enough freinds with to hang out all the time. Plus there are tons of girls. Plus im going into grade 12, so that has to count for something...

I'm not happy summer is almost over.
School starts for me tomorrow, I only have one class though and it starts at 2:00 P.M. If I start getting projects and reports soon, I'm going to be ticked off.

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy summer is almost over.
My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that.

I'm not quite looking forward to school. I didn't have a great first semester there and I don't have tremendously high hopes for this one either, but we'll see. It's been the busiest and most fun summer of my life, and it's sad to see it end. I'm pretty comfortable at home and thinking about 3.5 more years of school is pretty much killing me. Oh well.
I'm happy to get out of this day-in, day-out BORINGNESS. My mind is not being challenged. I can not sleep at night because I have nothing to think about. Back in high school I got a peaceful night's sleep.
..Though, I would like a bit more summer, because I've still got plenty of weight to lose and muscle to build. If I could reach my goals by the end of summer I would be happy, but it might be unrealistic now.
Hey, I'm Norwegian. It's EASY to get a tan for us Scandinavians.. you're just not trying. ;)

In between.
I'm glad that I'll be seeing my school buddy's, but sad that I can no longer wake up at 10. I've still got three weeks of vacation left though!

I get so terribly lazy in my vacations. :D I sometimes get sick of myself because I do almost NOTHING beside sitting behind my PC. :(
So.... it's better for me that the summer ends.

amen, fox. it went by too fast..
The summer went by rather slow for me. I think the reason was because I didn't do anything. I've just sat here on a couch like a blob. I'm amazed I still have bones.

You forget we still have 20 days until we go for our first day of school.
Yes I know. And the rest will go slow too. I was just saying that what's happened so far has gone by slowly.

Alright. I see two possibilities here.
A: You're not from anywhere as cold as Minnesota.
B: You are and yet you still love winter - which would lead the rest of us to the conclusion that your fricking crazy and need to have your heads examined.

Hmm, well I have lived in a lot of different places. But no where yet that there wasn't some kind of summer. So, I still love winter.
PS: I HATE rain.

The Immortal Souls are from Finland and they are obsessed with winter. 90% of their songs use ice or snow in some form of imagery and all of their album covers have featured a snow covered landscape.

Then I shall pray for a quick recovery from their... abnormality.... :sneaky:
