Which of the two volumes of Kill Bill is your favorite?
I personally can't choose. I loved the fast paced martial arts movie action of the first volume but I also like the second volume because it feels more like Tarantino's old movies because it's built mainly with good dialogue.
What do you people think?

They were both good, in their own ways, Draw
Both of them were great movies but I prefer the first one.

Both movies are so incredibly different it would be impossible for me to choose. The first movie had some of the best action sequences I have ever seen in any movie. It also had some of the best camera-play I have ever seen, and I really like the way Tarantino put the movie together. The first movie was very entertaining, and it was even funny at times.
I was shocked when I saw the second movie. The lack of action was surprising, after seeing the first one anyways. But I wasn’t upset, because it had some of the best dialogue I’ve ever heard. It reminded me of Pulp Fiction a bit, although I still think that Pulp Fiction has the best Dialogue of all his movies.
Both movies are awesome. One seems to be more action-based; the other one seems to be more dialogue based and story driven. Both are equally impressive, but I think the best experience is just to watch both movies back to back as a whole.
Edit: The other way you could watch it is by watching the second one first. That works too.

Well, what we have here is one long movie split into two parts, so it's really unfair to call them two volumes just because they were commercially released that way. I suppose it's hard to view it that way without having seen both parts if you will together, but that's how I choose to look at it. Either way, it's a great movie.

I'd have to say Volume 1. More things happened, and I'll admit I was a little surprised by the lack of action in Volume 2. I was also kind of disappointed with Bill and Beatrix's final showdown, I was expecting something a little more climatic but it all ended in a low-key, quiet manner. I also like Volume 1's longer timeline. Kill Bill 2 seems to occur all in the span of just a few days at the most.

Aww man, both movies were good in their own way, so i cant decide.
2 great great great movies. together they make up one of my favorites of all time.
and 2 IMO was better. not by a lot tho.
And you guys should watch the making of movies on either CD, expecially 2, talks about why the movies are different from each other and the idea's behind that. Quite a nice watch.
like example. he wanted it to be east / west. Vol 1 was in the east. eastern style movie, while vol 2 was more in the west with a western style to it.
Its neat to see where he got the idea's for characters and stuff. like Pi-mie (sp) was actually the same character from an old kung fu movie or show. who had that same character, same name, and he looked the same. Then the funny part is the guy who plays him in kill bill, was the good guy of that old movie/show who faught pi-mie. so he got to play the part of the villian he was always against. hehe. (also he played the head guy of the crazy88's in kill bill 1).
also def watch that hiddon sceen in kill bill 2. that was great. lol

Yeh that's a tough one.
I'd have to say 2 overall. Just because it explained a few more things than the first.
I still have to see Kill Bill 2.

Why is there no " they both sucked" option? You should at least give the other side a chance to voice his/her opinion.
But I'm going with 1, considering I havent seen the second one. Plus I like the soundtrack.
because if your taste is that bad, then your vote doesnt deserve to count.

lol, yep
Vol 2. The quantity of violence in vol 2 was less but at the same time, it had a completely different feel about it. More gruesome I guess.
I loved the ending with Bill and Beatrice. Damnit, i love that movie.
I tried to rent it last weekend. My friend doesn't have a dvd player so we rented vhs. Some asshole or mistake by employee resulted in the renting of vol 1. They put the wrong movie behind the vol 2 case. So ya, I haven't seen vol 2 since it's debut.
