That's a rather sweeping generalization.Perhaps 50%.Really you don't think so?

he's retarted? yet your responding to something that isnt even real.

:p hehe

and i didnt lose 300 over my ipod. i spend $500 on it and its worth every penny. im sorry but as much as i like the PSP, as a music player it wont touch the ipod. ipod has too much going for it now. addons, accessories. new programs to add to it. now they're even making new cars with built in ipod support. man i want that bmw :( open the glove box. plug ipod in. control it with stereo controls or buttons on steering wheel, and radio displays song names.

30 Gig, bought it from amazon after the 40's came out for 450. Worth every penny. I will be hanging on to it for quite a while though as I hate the G4s and thier mini-esque buttons under the dial.

I want one. Care to send some to me for free and absolutely nothing back in return?

I want one, but there's no way that I'm paying $300 for one. I'll wait till my friends Uncle steals a couple (or another type of MP3 player) then buy one from him.

I have 2,500 songs on my computer right now. That's roughly 11.5 gigabytes worth of music.

I have roughly 400 CDs in my collection. If the track listing averaged 10 songs per CD, that would equal 4,000 songs. However, I have a feeling the song count is higher then that.

I need a 40gigabyte player.

I have the money to buy a 40gig Ipod, but I think I'm going to wait a bit. The price of the technology should drop eventually, and the Ipod is going to see some competition. I think, once other companies like Sony get better products on the market, we will see some price battles, and ultimately, price drops.

I do want a portable player though. My collection is to big for CDs or MP3CDs.

Ditto.
No real competition for the iPod, so I'll wait till it gets some. :D
I just bought a CD player that plays MP3s. Cost me €30.... but the anti-shock doesn't work properly (you're not supposed to hear ANY distuption when you tap it, right?), so I'm probably getting my money back.

its going to take some very very hard work for anyone to compete with the ipod. the ipod is the only one really with all the accesories and addons you can buy for it. i mean they're coming out with everything you can connect the ipod to.

When dealers start making cars with integrated support for your product. your much more then a step above the rest.

I'm fairly certain that the next time I go to Best Buy I'm going to buy a 20gig iPod.

Null mentioned something about the iPod having new programs to add to it...are those programs you can download? If so, what's a link to a site that provides them, I'd like to read about them.

I own a 20gb model.

It rules. iPod + iTunes is brilliant. It's not just about the hardware u know.

Either way, the price should drop. I think they can produce those iPods for €75 each. :(

I don't listen too enough music or too often to warrant needing an iPod.
