Who has a camera?

I have a digital Canon Ixus, 2.1 megapixels, 3X zoom.

It suits me well enough, it's very compact and I have it almost always with me.
I've taken almost 5000 pics with it since I got it 3 years ago.. :angel:

For graduation I got money which I used in turn to buy a digital camera. I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5200. 5.1 megapixels. It's great.

Mine is a Nikon Coolpix 5000. It was the top of the market a few years ago. Man, it's been a while, but it still has held up great compared to other cameras.

My sister and I asked for one for this Christmas. I guess it will also contribute to our birthday, since it's four days after Christmas. I figured that spliting it with her would make it easier on my parents..moneywise. I've wanted one for a while...now just to pick a good one.

How much were your cameras? How much would a decent one cost?

You can get a decent one for $150, a very decent one for $200 and a very good one for.... perhaps $300.

At least those are the prices in Europe... :unsure:

I was gonna get one for my birthday, but im not really a picture taking kinda guy. Sure, i dont mind having pictures, but its too much hassle for me to set one up, and i dont feel it would be to much use. But i think i might buy one for sh*ts and giggles. Why not, not like it will hurt anything.

Thanks Canya, I was thinking about asking for a $200 one...but $300 sounds fun too. Since my sister and I are sharing it, it will be $150 towards both of us. And Typhoid, you always do that.

Ive got a 2.1 Megapixel Nikon 2500 I believe. Its an older model, a few years old, its one of those with that Swivel lens thing. The Swivel lens thing is basically worthless, unless you enjoy taking pictures of yourself, it makes doing that INCREDIBLY easy. But I do like the camera.

However, once I reinflate my bank account (which won't take long), I plan on buying a Nikon Coolpiiiiixxxxx.... maybe 4 megapixel something... whatever the model is, 4000 whatever...
