i've heard about this from a number of sources, all of whom i trust, this should dramatically make your Doom 3 experience more enjoyable


I'm not playing myself, (i recently picked up a copy of Knights of the Old Republic), but if any of you know how to apply this tweak to KotOR it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been messing around with about 3 tweaks or so and performance is better but I still get that damned pausing when doors open or an enemy comes out. But other hten that, after doing a few tweaks I've been reading about, in game performance is smoother.

Anyone who played any of the quake games should already know about this. its always pretty much the same, just changing the amount of ram it can use.

Also if you half enough space on your hard drive, unzip the pk4 files so they're not compressed and that helps too.

Possibly a stupid question yes, but how do tweaks make it better and run smoother? Why doesnt the company just do it then?

because they dont know your PC. they set things to work for a broad range of computers.

Certain things can help it run on one computer, but would be set differently to help another computer.

LOL yea its in some of the junk mail you get. Im starting over tonight because you can get the chain gun in the second stage and im not that far the game lags like hell for me.(damn my 9800 for going out) ohh well Ill just have to get the 6800 ultra that much faster. :sneaky:

heh. i found the combonation to ammo storage locker 047 is 123 :p

i took a wild guess. i think the doods email gave me the hint tho. lol said something about you can double, or tripple your income.

*shrug* perhaps i got lucky.



[EDIT] it would seem i just got lucky. lol. he actually says its 123 in an audio tape. all the lockers in that area are 123
