Okay.....maybe that's a bit over-the-top, but yeah.

Some people have attitudes. They figure they can just walk into a place like that and treat you like crap because you are behind a counter. That's not how life works, but that's how some people view things.

Edit: I give you my sympathy. I'm bagging groceries. That's not fun either.

If you think you have it bad... try working at a full serve gas station.

Thing about it is, people these days take their gas prices really seriously. We get stupid people, and we get bitchy people.

We alos have this pledge were we *have* to wash their windshield, and offer an oil check. Even it is REALLY busy, people expect you to be everywhere at once and it gets real annoying.

One time, our machine for credit and bank cards was down, so we had to tell them to pay by cash only. I realized how dependent people are on machines these days. People bitched at me and even told me to "smarten up". Like is if I'm the one who knows how to ****ing fix that, it's not our responsibility, it wasnt our end that was broken, it was the Global Payments thing or whatever handles that kind of stuff.

Also, with the recent surge in gas prices, you wouldnt believe how many people bitch at me about it. I swear, sometimes they think I'm the one responsible for the gas prices. Believe me, if it was up to me I'd make all these bastards pay 10 times the amount their paying now.

But yeah... full serve gas station attendants have it bad. It's also one of the most under appreciated jobs in the world. Of course, my cousin is the manager so it's all good. I've told a few customers to go **** themselves, just because they were that much of a bitch/asshole. They threatened to call the manager, but I can get away with it. :D

Really though, as much as you want to kill the customer. Just laugh... that's what I do. Because it's just so funny how many stupid people there are in this world.
