I don't want this thread to get out of hand. Just jump in if your gonna vote for Kerry. Thats it. Don't try and stir things up by saying "Bush is better or Independents are teh besT!!1!1"
I'm voting for Kerry after he chose Edwards as VP. That made my choice for him permanent but my first choice was Dean anyways. So full of spunk that guy was :p

If i was American and could vote i would vote for Kerry.
Why you ask. Because hes got three purple hearts.
Plus he seems like he would make a good president i guess.

Im just BARELY not going to be old enough to vote in this election. Missed it by less than 2 months. But alas, if I would be able, Kerry would definatley get my vote. Way back I always liked Edwards the best, and I still do to this day, ive said this a thousand times here, but he still seems the best choice to serve the country as a whole, IMO. Not as libral as Kerry. But I still like Kerry OK, and its good he chose edwards as teh VP, so Kerry would get my vote, for sure.

I'm not a Kerry fan, but I'm also not a detractor as I know little about him other than he does have a shaky voting record, but this isn't about Kerry. Its about Edwards.
A few of you said you liked Edwards and it solidified your choice of Kerry, and don't take this as accusatory, but why?
I liked Dean personally, he screamed a lot. But Kerry's a good guy from what I've seen. He just has the face of a horse.

The reason I like Edwards, is because as one of my friends said, he's a fresh young face like Clinton was. Seeing older people all day on tv irks me to think they are the one voting on things that could matter for me.

I liked Dean just because he announced his presidency on the Jon Stewart show. Classy fella'.
So what if he yells, everyone yells, is he showing that hes human. The President doesnt have to be perfect, and rarely is.

No offense, but that may the single worst reason I've ever heard for supporting a public official. Its like saying you're voting for someone because they're cute. In that case, Pam Anderson for President, because when I watch TV I want my commander in chief to have big tits and a nice ass.

*cough*
Pam Anderson cant run for president.
Nice try on an analogy though.:p
I agree though, that is kind of a stupid reason, in a sense.
You shouldnt vote on how the person looks, you should vote on the issues they bring foreward, and what they plan on solving and doing.
Dont vote because someone looks pleasing to the eye.

Just to FYI, I wouldn't vote for Pam Anderson if she did. She doesn't have half a brain to run.
I know theres other reasons besides looks to vote for someone but he was my second pick as president choice (behind Dean) and since Kerry chose someone that I like, he gets my vote.

Not that it's going to matter in IL. I wish I could vote in Michigan.

What, you think Bush will win in IL? I'll admit, most of downstate IL will vote Bush...but what about Chicago and its metro area? Wont it lean more towards Kerry?

Um, the exact opposite.
Kerry is going to win by 15 points.
Blago, Durbin and soon, Obama. 3 for 3 for the dems in the major positions.
