Regardless of who might actually win I vote for the Alien. Because he relies purely on instinct and his body. Whereas the Predator has gone the way of the human and come to rely on technology to do all the work. If you rip all that gear off a Predator, it wouldn't stand a chance. Even with it's gear, I think the Alien could still possibly win.

Let's hope the movie doesn't disappoint me :D

Aliens don't show up on infrared, so that immediately nullifies one the predator's biggest advantages. Plus they have acid for blood and would be deadly in hand to hand combat situations.

Well if you had played the game, you'd know that they have a seperate vision for Aliens. :D

This one time they had installed AvP Gold on the school network :D. I noticed they were playing a death match so I joined as a predetor. Everybody else was a n00b marine, so it didn't take long before I owned them all. Sweet :cool:.

Didn't last long though, within a few days the game was deleted and playing games on the PCs wasn't allowed. :angel:

Predator can't be respected though, it's too relient on it's gadgets. If those things get broken in the course of battle, Predator is screwed.

True, but you can't really be sure of that. You don't really ever see them without their gadgetry. The only real times you do get to see them fighting without their gadgets is in the ends of both the movies. It took care of Arnold and the other guy. Well the other guy sort of ruled him with the Predators own sharp disc thing. The Predator went through a wall so that thing has some weight. I think that between Alien and Predator it would be a pretty even fight. Watch the people end up winning in the movie.


When you think about it though the names are really basic names. "Alien" and "Predator"

I think Predator could put up a preatty good fight if his technology breks or something. I mean he still as claws and and wicked row of teeth, he would probably lose but he would inflict some major damage

Yes but from inflicting damage to the Alien at close range it would probably end up getting it self killed. The Aliens blood is acid. So if the Predator bit it the acid would go into its face and pretty much kill it.

ya i know that im just saying he would do damage but then die. Plus Predator has those two sword things on his wrist armor, and metal can't shut down or short circut so he could also use those for a quick but fatal strike before they melted.

Aliens will overrun them using sheer numbers, but you have to remember that each Predator has a FRIGGIN NUCLEAR BOMB on their wrists.

No, The Strangler is right, if predator was about to lose then he would vaporise everythying with the nuclear bomb on his wrist. That would mean it's a tie.

Yeah, if your a predator and the going gets tough, Nuke yourself.

But i think the predator would win even without the wrist nukes, because they can go invisable, and are way more stealthy than the Aliens. Unless the aliens dont give off body heat, or cover themselves in mud or something..

And besides, Aliens don't have eyes but other sensors, so they can see the Predator even when he's cloaked.

In the game, if you were fast enough you could kill the predator before it set of it's bomb. :)

This is an old story, and it really shouldn't be compared to Freddy vs. Jason.

It's been long worked into the story line that Predators breed Aliens for the sake of hunting. The idea, as I imagine, is almost as old as the original films.

Freddy vs Jason is more comparable to Terminator vs Robocop. The two were made to put two completely unrelated story lines together to settle a few sci-fi nerd debates (actually, it didn't settle anything) while making a few ... million bucks.

And back to Alien vs Predator. I assume this movie's story-line is going to take place during a Predator's "Rite of Passage". That is, the Predator hunter or few will likely send an Alien queen to a habitable planet... let it grow "a little" and then go down to dispatch it and take the head back as a means of advancing among the ranks.

The Predator is supposed to win. It was designed to win. I don't expect that every Predator would be successful, as that would make it a weak Rite of Passage. There are usually outside forces that make it difficult. Take, for instance... Marines. Yes, and that's where the fun comes in.

So no, this isn't your next Freddy vs Jason. The idea was long before Freddy vs Jason, and it has a respectable plot.

As for the movie? Yeah, probably a tie. Or the Marines will win.

Okieday. The website of the movie has the same poll, and Aliens are winning. Maybe the movie doesn't deserve more respect than Freddy vs Jason because they crapped it out the usual "Delayed 10 years" style. At least the story was cool for awhile in the 90s.

Ignoring the fact that Humans have beaten both Alien and Predator in their respective movies... it is seen that the Humans had a much easier time destroying the aliens with simple machine guns (in Aliens, the movie). Predator, on the other hand, was either not killed (in the second movie) or it self-destructed with a nuke (in the first).

Considering that the govenor of California caused the Predator to kill itself.....I got my money on the Alien.

I think a Jason vs. Michael Myers would've been more appropiate. Since they both exist in the conscious world and pretty much never die. I haven't seen Freddy vs. Jason but it just seems to me like not much of a battle could really occur since Freddy only resides in dreams.

Also, Jason and Michael Myers both wear masks so they just seem more similar.
