Confirming last week's rumors, id CEO Todd Hollenshead sent out an e-mail today revealing that Doom 3 has gone gold. "IT'S DONE!!!!!!!," he calmly announced. "Yes, this is the official word that DOOM 3 has been code released and has been approved for manufacturing!"

Got a 94% by PC Gaming. 23 hours of Gameplay.

Looks like ass on Xbox.

more then likely i wont be getting it. it has a half assed multiplayer and single player games usually dont cut it for me.

but i'll try it probably

There's multiplayer in Doom3:confused::p

If a demo is released (official one ;) ), ill check it out to see whether it warrants a purchase or not. I'm already getting HL2 free (still got that ol' voucher coupon), so I'm more anxious for it anyways.

Just read the PC Gamer review. I cannot wait to get my hands on this. Getting a new computer in a few weeks with a amd64 3200 cpu and an ati x800 vid card :D:D:D Hm..need to pick out some surround sound speakers. *runs off*

I'm waiting to upgrade my current machine. Theres a ton of new things hitting this year and by end of year, the money I spend will be worth it. Nforce4, PCI Express, 939pin Athlon 64's:D

I'll need to go up to a gig of ram to play this one the way it should be played, so I'll have to wait.

even tho i do have a gig of ram, the game isnt going to run any different on the same machine with 512 or 1gig of ram.

Try saying that when playing City of Heroes. It's the worst game on memory management. Playing with 512 is utterly horrible but I have to deal with it for now

Hmmm...I'll have to do more reaserch on it befor I decide If im going to buy it or not. Ive been too obsessed with HL2 to really care.

I have 512 and other games run great. But does he play CoH? I doubt it. No one else I know does :p
