i hook up the playstation for old times sake, pop in FFVII and tell myself i'll just play for a couple minutes, an hour max.
...4 hours later
just until the next save point....
...3 hours later
uhh, i should stop playing soon....
...an hour later...here i am :D
this is exactly what happened last time...dear god
Haha yeah don't you hate it when that happens...unless it's a good game. I remember once i popped in MGS2 just to see where i left off. I was at the start and I said that I would just play to the end of the tanker part.
At the end of the day I had ended up beating it. Good times.
I was planning on doing that today and I can't find my game.
Edit: So you say you have been playing FF VII for 8 HOURS. Good job. Here is some +rep.

Yes, that game ( FFVII) is very fond of its abilities to consume souls.

Yeah, I did that the first time. The second time, though, was more spaced out. After playing some of the other FFs, I was more able to see the flaws (there's a lot compared to most other FF games) and wasn't able to get quite as hooked as the first time.
Separate note: This game actually got me sick of the Chocobo Song.
I got over it, though.

i got hooked on ffx for a long time, i think durin the summer i played it for nearly 2 days, only stoppin to eat, even then i only took off about 3 min. each time, i was so close to beatin it too, i was gonna save after this one part but i got killed and hadnt saved in like 3 hrs, so i was ticked but i jus redid it and beat the game.

I was hooked on FFX-2, and i have beaten it 3 times, but have yet to reach 100%. I want the god damn 100%. I am swearing that eventually i will get there without using a help guide to help me step by step.
I know i will succumb to it and use one though. I have no will power.

I went away for ONE WEEK and came home to find out he had spent 7 days playing 18 hours a day, only stopping to eat and use the bathroom. When I got home he was only a little further ahead of where he had been when I left, so I asked wha the had been doing. He showed me his save files, and he had realized he had missed a few GF's, so he started all over at disc one and got all the way back up to that spot again. That is very sad....or very dedicated.
I havnt been that absorbed into a game in a long time. I had it with OoT, and I played StarFox 64 for 3 days, and I was obsessed with Mario 64.
I wish they made games like they used to. :(

That is why i have high hopes for the New Zelda game. It looks like it should take me back to the countless yet super fun hours of OoT.
I beat that game 7 times.
7 TIMES!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I've been looking for a game like that for so long. I just bought Viewtiful Joe for PS2, so I got high hopes.
I hope they make more.
