Um... I hate my dad...

I don't really want to go into too much detail but all hell broke loose earlier today here is the outcome:

*No more internet. Dad says he's going to have the phone company shut off our internet account. I will counter this by either a)Moving out of the House... I really wish there was a way I could... or b) setting up my own internet account, I only need it for another month or so, then I'm off to college.

*I most certainly can't take my computer to college. (Technically he did pay for it, so it's not like I have any say in this.) I will certainly piss him off. It has a password on it, and I won't tell him how to get on the computer. Man that will make him mad.

*I officially don't know where to go, or what to do over the christmas break... I can't stay at school. :(

So this all comes as my dad's last try to control me. It's not going to happen. He thinks I'm going to flunk out of college because I a)stay up all night and b)am on the internet all the time.

My dad obviously doesn't understand college. He's so stupid. He's been this way all my life. I think he likes that aspect of life where he had some control, but this summer has been rough for him I guess. I do things without asking him. He can't stand that he can't control me I guess. I've made all the right decisions in life, and he had no say in them. It's been all up to me so far. Nothing to do with him, had I listened to him I would probably be working at McDonald's for the rest of my life.

Gah I don't know anymore! I just hope I can find some place to live. Somewhere to go... Soon.

And yeah, my dad is slightly the same way, but im getting bigger than he is, so he doesnt really yell at me so much anymore, because he knows ill yell back.

If you dont tell him the password, he will either ostrasize you ( it sounds like it from the way he acts), sell it, or break it.

I say you take it one day when he is away. Or sell it for money.

Hrm, that doesn't sound like a good idea typhoid because if his dad is being that much of a dick he might press charges, I've seen it happen. I say this Moogle you should get a job and just slowly build your own comp and then when winter break comes just look for a frat house or something, Or go visit a grandma or something.l

Yeah, you could always join a fraternity if you're into that sort of thing. I would just befriend some guy/girl in my dorm or your roomate and coerce him/her into asking you to spend the break with them and their family.

I find your father's lack of faith disturbing.... My parents are like that too, my mom keeps saying I will fail at university, because:
2 years ago: I took my GameCube to my room
1 year ago: I got a PC on my room
this year: I got internet on my PC.

In the meanwhile, I'm doing great at uni. :rolleyes: When are they going to learn?? :(

Well you could always see if your neighbors have a wireless LAN. If they have no security on it, just get a wireless card and pick up free broadband service
