This is the site of a Blog created by an Iraqi citizen named Sarmad Faraj currently living in Baghdad. He gives a much different account of the Coalition involvement than you get from most of the media here in the states, and definitely much different from what you get from the much debated Michael Moore, whom Sarmad takes to task in this blog. Be forwarned, the English is not perfect and some is a little difficult to understand, but the meaning is still quite evident.

Here are some pictures he took of a University that Coalition forces helped to reopen.

I just hope Iraq doesnt let Huissein back in power, but i also hope Iraq wont be fully Americanized. it would be sad for them to lose their culture and way of life.

Because there are sick bastards in Iraq who cut people's heads off. It might be their fault, don't you think? You're blaming the plumber for the problem when all he is trying to do is fix the broken pipe.

Also, all the news you see about the fighting in Iraq is taking place in about 5% of the entire country. You think there is any good news happening in the other 95% where it is peaceful and allied forces are able to rebuild the country? Hmmmm... maybe.... but then again peace never got ratings.

But I'm getting away from the point of this thread, which is just to show another side of whats going on in Iraq from an Iraqi citizen.
