Yeah so I purchase a $350 protection plan on my laptop, and thats fine and dandy but when it breaks it's gonna take a friggin month to fix it. And to top it all off they told me if I would have just paid 50 more dollars I could have been part of the premium plan and had a 5 day turn around time. Why on gods green earth does it take you a MONTH to fix a laptop that overheated.
Your first mistake was buying a laptop at Best Buy.

Dunno. But I've legally tricked Best Buy out of money so many times I don't even want to count. So I really don't hate them.

Argh, I was getting deployed to afghanistan I didn't have many options I had hours not days so I had to go with my gut!
i dont think they fix em themselves do they? dont they send it out to get fixed?
Anyway, i agree with mariolover, Its so easy to get free things outta them. my last mp3 player was 399, i bought it from best buy, and got a 2 year replacement warrenty, after about a year and a half i saw the new Ipods, and wanted them. so i mailled my mp3 player back with a ghost problem like "locks up all the time", one that they cant quickly check. couple weeks later i open my mail box to see a $400 gift card from best buy.
got me a brand new ipod :) of course now i have a 5 year replacment plan on that. muhahaha :)
Anywho back on subject, never buy computers from best buy. thats just silly.

In the mean time, perhaps Best Buy would be willing to loan you a rental laptop.

Your first mistake wasn't going to Best buy. No.
Your first mistake was even considering best buy.

I think another mistake was buying one of those service plans. Ive never believed in them.

depends on what it is and how you plan on using it.
but i think a service plan is much different from the replacment plan im thinkin of.
