I can do the Html part and everything, But my problem comes with they want me to design a website with a flashy theme and possibly flash content, I have a background in networking and being a system administrator, Argh any help would be appreciated.

This is where you step up and tell them it's a stupid idea. Flash is just that, all looks and no functionality.

If you wanted the design to be more flashy, I'd recommend doing a tableless CSS design.

How did you get to be so knowledgable of computers, software, and design?

Flash is super easy to use though, it saves alot of time, and its not too difficult to make sites on.

Dreamweaver works good too i guess, especially since you can ( obviously) import flah stuff into it, and its also super easy to use.

No one has ever taught me anything, that's how. When I was a kid, we had a computer, but I had to teach myself how to use it. I had to teach myself how to install software, how to use MSDOS to unzip those Wolf 3D maps on the disk, had to teach myself how to fix the problems. You learn a lot that way.

As for websites, I started by running forums, learning how to advertise sites, then expanded from there. Created ****ty sites in FrontPage, then it couldn't do enough, so I went to HTML. Wanted to learn PHP, wanted a content management system for my site. What do I do? Build one myself.

Tackle this stuff head on, and it's not hard to learn. If you want to learn something new, find some tutorials, some examples, and you can use trial and error until pretty soon you figured it out.

If you want to get involved in web design, let me know. I got another site on the way.

Well I know exactly what that's like. Flash it is ;)

Yeah I'd love to get into webdesign but I've got a deadline to meet 30june04 and the OIC still has no idea what content he wants.. Argh...... For all those that care about my delimma I've got dreamweaver and photoshop now and I'm working on my template and I'm having problems with the HTML putting a link to another webpage so you can scroll or putting a link to a text document so you can scroll within it inside the first one is kicking my butt.. argh again..
