Yo.

So, I've still been working every weekday painting my grandfather's house. He finally got back from a trip today, and he didn't seem dissapointed with the work, so that's a plus. He also gave me a nice $297 check for my first 33 hours of work there. It's fun to actually put that into the bank.

It was father's day yesterday, but I didn't see my dad until today which is actually his birthday as well. His birthday is always right next to father's day, so he always gets double the presents and such. I think we're going to some steakhouse tonight which should be alright. This is the first time I've slept over at his house since I've been back home. Partly because he was on vacation and partly because of some other issues...Anyway, it's been good to be with my mom because she's been having a tough time with her father being in the hospital. We had a picnic for his father's day yesterday. One of the first times that he's been outside in quite a while. My mom probably sits by his bed for more than 3 hours a day. How she continues to work at her job, see her dad, and be a good mom to us is beyond me, but that's why she is great.

On other fronts...We had our first Spinto Band gathering since late May (minus Jon who is still in Europe) It was a really, really good practice. It was the first time we played NEW songs in quite a while. We learned two new original songs and a cover of "Hey Bulldog" by the Beatles. They all sound pretty good for just the first day. We have our next show on Friday in Newark, DE, again without Jon which should be OK. When the Spinto Band plays as a 5-piece band it doesn't seem to be quite as cool, but whatever, it will be good to play live again, it's been a month. Directly after that we'll probably head to Washington D.C for a week and have some serious practice sessions. I bet we practice for about 8 hours a day because we need to learn new cover songs for the tour, along with new original songs that we'll record in Nashville in July. It will be a busy, busy month for the Spintos, but it will be good for us. After the week of practice there will be the annual July party at Jon Eaton's which will be amazing as always. So many people come, and it's just pure summer fun in the pool and the hot tub and everything...I just hope that both Australian girls are there. I haven't seen Souari in 5 months and I have a huge crush on her, so hoefully she'll be there.

Germy...Out...
