I finally got one. I used to update my livejournal frequently, but nexus took some time up. So I'll treat this just like my livejournal, except with more video games. *Shrugs*
Anyway before we (as in me and everyone who checks out GT) start this blog, I will give you a further look into my life, because man, a lot of the things I might say, would have you being like (Duh?? What's going on here?) If I ever need to add anything about my life I will.
A further look:
The setting:
I live in rural Kentucky. I cannot say the word rural correctly, so I normally don't use it. As far as I know, and from what friends, family, and people from out of state have told me, I don't really sound, act, or look as if I'm from here. Cool. I hate it here, I can't wait to move, My ideal living areas include: Hawaii, Florida, Chicago, or California. I live in a small white house, with a full deck and my own room. I have my own customized computer, built by dell, and I'll be taking it to college with me in the fall. My room is full of electronics, mostly video games.
My Family:
They're still together, my mom and dad, but they shouldn't be. They argue all the time, my dad's kind of an alcoholic, he just started again after like 10 years of sobriety. He treats my mom like scum, and myself, and she puts up with it. No I've never been abused, by verbal abuse is just as horrible as physical. Sometimes worse.
A have a brother. He's older than me by 10 years. He has a wife and two children, he too is an alcoholic. My niece and nephew are incredibly intelligent, and they're thinking of pushing them both a grade or two, because my niece is already reading at an 8th grade level in 2nd grade. My nephew couldn't speak for 3 years, but he could walk long before he was supposed to. Now that he speaks, I'm quite positive he has the largest vocabulary of any 5 year old I've ever met. I wish the best for them in life.
Me:
I never properly introduced myself on the forums. I was introduced to these forums by Vampyr. You all know him right? Anyway, I like video games, it started when I was two, it made me so mad I couldn't read the very first Final Fantasy when I was four that I made my mom teach me to read. She got frustrated when I asked her what so many words meant. It's because of video games I took the effort to learn to read, and I'm glad I did, I would never have learned at school.
I've always been kind of a dork, until the last 2 years of high school when I decided it didn't really matter what I say and do, I can be a total @** like I was, or lighten up, and start the fun. People liked me a lot by the time I left. I'm still an @**, but only sometimes.
I didn't really like music until about my freshman year, when I started really jamming out to Our Lady Peace. It's sad that they sold out after spiritual machines. (Please don't flame me for saying that, it's true.) I like most types of music, except most country, I really can't think of any country song that i can stand for more than one listen. Well, Johnny Cash was alright. It was cool to find Germanator on here, he had heard a lot of the stuff I had, including Neutral Milk Hotel, who I think is one of the coolest bands, but no one else has really heard of them.
I'm incredibly obsessed with Dance Dance Revolution. Really badly obsessed. For those of you who play, in the Arcade I can play heavy, but only 8 footers and below, and that's if I'm lucky, at home, I can pass some of the hardest 9 feet songs. The timing at home is much easier. My Favorite DDR song is probably Rhythm and Police. As this Blog continues, (Which I hope it does) You'll learn much more about me I'm sure.
An explanation of my friends:
Josh: He's been my best friend since like 7th grade. He's a little bit shy and geeky, but all around ok. His house is 30x cooler than mine, and his little brother and sister (who are twins) have become sorta like my little brother and sister. Even though I'm often mean to them, (lol very often) I would probably do anything for them. I kinda spend a lot of time at his house, err I used to. I'm sure after July the 2nd I'll got lounge over there a while. *Shrugs* He has a pool.
Zach(Vampyr): He was this freshman I met when I was a Junior, he joined the academic team, and I've known him since. At first I think he kinda hated us, but now he hangs out with us all the time. You already know him mostly.
Ashleigh: She's my girlfriend. Several of you want to have alone time with her. I can just say ha, because i get to, and you guys don't. I met her my 8th grade year, her 6th, and she was a little preppy "expletive"
She came to High School when I was a junior and she was all not "expletive" and hot. Totally awesome. She didn't like me until the end of last year, and she was all I like you. Now we're going out and stuff. :)
Tiffany is Josh's girlfriend, and I don't really see her very much.
Eden is Zach's ex. Sometimes she's really cool, sometimes I want to choke her with a waffle. Yes, a waffle.
George is this big guy, who I think is secretly gay, but flirts with all the women. He's still a cool guy mostly, and I hang out with him sometimes.
There are probably others... But they're probably not too important.
Anyway, basically what you can expect from this blog is:
Rants about stuff (Video games, Music, my life, people, etc.)
Me trying to persuade you to check out, Video games, music, etc.
Me talking about food.
Links to news articles, or stuff I think is important.
And maybe a little bit of sarcasm. See that kinda was sarcasm. Expect a lot.
:)
Anyway to start things off. This guy is awesome.
DDR Video, Please watch, unless you have dial up, it take forever to load! (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/oneleg2.html)
I can't even do that song that well, but on further speculation, I actually don't think it's on the hardest mode.
