im having tons of annoying pop ups ...anyone got any suggestions for a pop up blocker....im using spybot...CWshredder...and HijackThis....doesnt seem to b doing the job...help? :confused:

Try using adaware.....or just get like, Mcafee virus scan or Norton, they work for me.

The CWshredder and the Hijack from what I googled just gets rid of major instances of spyware such as browser hijacks and big spyware programs that idoits download load on there computers that "will make there porn go faster". I would suggest that you d/l ad-aware it works well. :D

You can download the google toolbar which has a built in popup blocker. Other then that, use Mozilla/Firefox :D

That's your problem right there. If you're on a Mac running OS X, switch to Safari. If you're using a PC, use Firefox. It's free and it's the best browser currently.

I'd just download Firefox as Jonbo said. Mucho better browser than IE.

yep, i was going to recommend firefox as well, although you'll have to get a lot of the plugins again (e.g. shockwave, flashplayer), but overall its much better

Maybe she means those retarted Windows messaging pop ups. I remember having those things when I first got Windows XP, but I did a little searching around and eventually found out how to stop them.

That's what my hunch was also...was maybe it was the messenger thing. But all you have to do is enable the XP Firewall and they stop coming (easier then digging in to xp)
