I went to work as usual on Friday, got off at 3, and left for STL around 4PM. Its only about 2-1/2 - 3 hours drive from my house, and we got there around 7. Our hotel is In Collinsville, and they have this little go kart fun place right next to our hotel so my brother and I spent some time there to blow some time. Played a few arcade games, did some mini-golf, and rode the Go Karts.

The next morning my family and I got up fairly early and ate breakfast at Denny's. I got some sort of Corned beef Hash thing meal thing...I love Corned beef hash...a lot of people hate it but I love it. Anyways, after that we went to Anheuser Bush, who have their World Headquarters in STL. They have a free tour that we went on. Here is a picture of the entrance for the tours:

When you first enter for the tours, they have a musem like room with displays and facts about Anheuser Bush's history and stuff like that. They then announce that they are about to start a tour, and a guide gives you a brief run down of what your about to see. The first stop is the Clydesdales stable and outside area. They are such pretty horses...I couldnt really get a good shot of one because they were quite far away, no point in showing you that photo. The next area we went in was a HUGE building with these huge tubs where they hold the beer in to age it. These are 200,000 gallon tubs. Probably 15 feet high and who knows how long. They had at least 100 of these tubs, possibly a lot more, because you couldnt walk through all the parts of this building. Anyways through a lot of this tour they didnt allow you to take pictures, so most of the pictures I do have are from the outsides of the different buildings, which I'll show you a few of now.

In that picture you can really get a feel for the size of this plant. Its basically a city within a city...with actual streets connecting the different buildings and everything. Also notice how tall the buildings are...Im guessing well over 100 feet, if not 200. And they are all brick. Very impressive, IMO. Also in that pic you can see what looks like a walkway suspended between the 2 buildings...that is actually large tubes that transports the beer from building to building.

They took us through the whole packaging building also, which was very cool. Theyve got machines that can package(and by package, I mean fill, close, and put labels on) 900 bottles per minute and 2000 cans per minute. Pretty nead to see them in action. Anywho, at the end they have a hospitality room, where you can have 2 free beers if your over 21. You can choose from any of their products, which are a lot, including Bicardi and some others. They also had free soda and pretzels and a gift shop.

After that we headed to the Cardinals-Astros game. Cardinals won 10-4, so it was a very entertaining game. Our seats were not half bad actually, as you can see from this pic:

After the game I snapped this picture from outside the stadium:

On sunday we went down around the Arch in a museum and just fooled around...Ive been up the Arch several times before, so I didnt really care. We were just basically blowing time waiting for the Cardinals game to start. Heres a few pictures of the Arch:

Its over 600 feet tall, if you didnt know.

The Cardinals lost on Sunday and we came home right after the game. I was starting to not feel too good, and I still dont feel very good as I type this...horrible sore throat and stuffy nose. But overall it was a very fun weekend.

Those are great pictures, Jason. Seeing them makes me feel closer to you somehow. Is your brother old enough to be able to pick a fight with you?

Eh, hes 13, so I dont know maybe. He wouldnt though because im bigger than he is. Well he actually weighs about the same as me, but Im quite a bit taller and stronger. How is that relevant though?

And Bond, havent you seen the new Budweiser commercials? Miller was bought by South African Breweries, therefore they are un-able to run for president of beers in the United States. So Anheuser Bush wins by default.

HAHA...Miller got pwned. Millers not bad, i've had it before, but all the American labels are brewed to Canadian standards. So the alcohol % is higher...but the Canadian Miller is good then...So is Vodka. Vodka is my god.

We went to St. Louis on our cross country trip back in August of '99... And took a couple pictures of the Arch just like the last two...

I wonder how many other bazillions of people have taken pictures just like that? Hmmm *ponders*
