Uh, No! Where the hell did you get your info?
Anyways, atm nVidia is doing better since they are not half assing directX9C support like ATI is.

While ive had some problems with my Radeon 9500pro, ive gotta hand it to ATI, they have excellent technical support. I emailed them about my problems and after a few back and forth emails from me, we had the problem fixed. And they were repling on weekends too.

Im not saying ATI is bad. I have a ATI card myself and I love it but Im just saying that since they arnt supporting DirrectX9C and I dont like that. Thats one of the main reasons I wouldnt get it. :)
the cards are pretty close. nvidia takes some tests and ati takes some. i think on average, the 6800u has been taking more of the tests in a slight lead.
ATI has most certainly not 'pwned' nvidia in this series thus far at all. no one has 'pwned' anyone yet.

My Ati beginnings started with a 9600xt and now a 9800Pro and havent had a single problem with them. If I could, I would be getting the x800XT but unless I get the rest of my money from my 9600xt I sold and sell my 9800Pro plus about $100 more.
but to answer your question since no one has yet
have they come out yet? x800Pro is out in kind of limited quantites but it can be found
x800XT is supposed to be out in the next week or 2 from what I've heard
and more importantly how much are they running for? x800Pro's retail price is $399 and x800XT is retail'd at $499

Err.. If you haven't come off as a highly biased nVidia fanboy in this thread I can't think of much that would make it much more obvious.
I'm partial to ATI cards, myself. As to DX9C support I'm not too worried. That can be added later with Driver updates. But I'm not planning on getting this set of chips, I'll wait for the next wave.

I dont take sides. I said which one is doing better. It doesnt really matter, I would take either lol they are both very good cards. I was just saying that I personaly dont like that ATI has half assed DirectX9c support. It bothers me that they did that. Eh oh well I'll just shut up.

The nVidia is out for a while now (3-4 weeks).
Bothe cards are so close right now on the games existing that there is no reason to badmouth.
Both the x800 XT and GF6800 U are $499 and both x800Pro and GF6800 are $399
The upperhand nVidia has now is hardware support for Shaders v3.0 while ATI only supports v2. This is not posible to add via software. Still it's something that no game uses it yeat, and there are ways (long ones) developers can implement to get the same result. But this is a starting point and nVidia has the advantage. ATI has on the other side a card that performes just as well now in much smaller package. Notice how huge nVidia GF6800U is taking the 2 slots, and that it needs two 4 pin power connectors directly from the source, not trough a Y split and nVidia requieres you to put at least a 480W power source to keep the card going, while ATI can still run only from the AGP interface.
Both are equal now, nVidia has advantages and also disatvantages.
What is certain is that they are about two times better than the card that was crown until now ATI 9800 XT
