Wow, that was an interesting and quite good read. Changes my perspective on the WTC towers falling.

But I still wonder if Silverstein had the explosives planted in the buildings for a "just in case" scenario or if terrorists actually planted them. Thats the only thing most of them aren't sure about and neither am I.

Very interesting read. I have no clue on whether its true or not, but it was cool to read it.

Whoa.

Like Jonbo, This changes everything.

I was living in California when this happened and I heard about on the radio first; Power 106 was the station. When I heard the WTC Towers fell, I was like whats that? Ignorance is Bliss, eh? At school, my aviation teacher had on Fox News, and I saw the towers and I was like "oh", and the whole school was locked on TV for the whole day, even during Nutrition and Lunch. Ironicly, I got a girlfriend that day.

How exactly are they nuts? They actually make a lot of sense. I remember watching tower 7 fall on live TV, and they said it was about to collapse due to structural damage. No other bulidings fell from it, but I see it says the official report says it was from a fire. And, when I think about it, those buildings all fell the way that structures normally fall during implosions.

Thanks for the page, it puts a lot of things together with what I saw here on TV on that day. A damn shame, because that was such a sunny day, and I have NEVER seen a day as sunny as that one since.

I heard on some program about 9/11 (The learning channel or something) that said that the buildings (or at least the two big towers) were designed to implode if something happened... Because they were so big, they didn't want them falling over onto a bunch of other buildings...

So they collapsed one floor onto the next all the way down, like they were "supposed" to...

They also showed an extreme closeup of the breaking points at the tops of the buildings, and you can see right before it collapses, all of the big steel (I guess) beams on the outside of the building buckle outwards and then break... Then it hits the next floor which collapses, etc etc etc... So I think the suspicions about the tower are crazy...

Building 7, however did seem kinda suspicious... Although when you look at it as a whole, it doesn't seem like that big a deal either way...

I'm 100% convinced that 9/11 was the evil doing of terrorists from afar. Case closed.

I remember when I first heard that the towers had fell. I was on my way to PE class, and we have to walk a short distance outside to get to the gym, and some kid was saying that the WTCs had collaposed. I flat out did not believe him. Buildings that large dont just fall down, I dont give a **** what hits them. But alas I was wrong.

Definatley sheds some new light on an interesting subject.

I just woke up and turned on my TV( which ws on CNN....shut up) when the 2nd plane ( i think)hit the building, and i though, woa, sweet movie. My mom was crying, saying that she was sad and blah blah blah. Now ( i know i will) i dont mean to be a heartless bastard here, but yes while it was an extreme travesty, i dont see why it was made into a big deal. The 'slogan' "remember 9/11" came out, and i didnt nor do understand it. Why remember a travesty which kills tons of people and devastates a country? Thats like saying "remember the Holocaust"

You dont remember the tradgety itself, you remember the people. hence a better slogan " Remember those of 9/11" or something along those lines.

That's a good point Typhoid, I'm afraid I'm left with no choice but to give you +rep.

What's even worse than the slogan itself are all the products they slap that slogan onto and then sell.

The Holocaust should be remembered as a tragedy. There were numerous oppurtunities to stop Hitler before he killed millions, and while I'm not blaming anyone at the time outright, we should learn from history by remembering how horrendous it was so we can at least try to not repeat it.

That's the theory behind all the Holocaust museums.

But I think you're somewhat right about 9/11. It shouldn't be rememberd so much as a tragedy but the people should be remembered. Either way, it's symbolic to say "Remember 9/11" to remember the people who died.

Have you heard the saying " Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it"? I think that is totally false. Because also if you remember the past you are doomed to repeat it. WWI/ WWII. Some little kid might grow up in school learning about wars, and since he/or she has grown up with them going on all their lives, and being tought it in school, some of them might (generalization) come to the conclusion that war is necessary. Then they might start one, or something. I know its far fretched, but think about it.

And on a side note, i do think war is slightly necessary, i hate to say it. Whats one of the major reasons the great depression ended? World War 2. Wars start and stop an economy in a blink of an eye IMO

Woah! That was one hell of an arguement you gave us.
