Yes, I, as well as DM and Rndm, have decided to officially quit this game. I will be selling all my posessions and splitting the gil between Hero2, Ominub, and TheGame.

To those of you who will keep playing the game, I'll wish you good luck, and have fun. Personally, I can not sit through 10s of thousands of EXP, that's just not my style anymore. The game was fun at first, but is now boring and very unattractive to me.

It's pretty bad... when you quit a game like this you feel like you've escape some sort of prison, because you no longer have to worry about good AF/quest parties and all that horse ****. Not only that, but this game has SERIOUSLY affected by grades this semester, and inside I feel like ****, because my marks went down a whopping 10-15% compared to what I'm used to, and yes... I blame FFXI. Although I should really just blame myself for being consumed.

I thought this would be one of those games that would never get old.. but it quickly turned into an online dungeon crawler, something which I totally despise.

I will pass the usergroup leader position to Ominub... but it's not like this forum will be of much use. You each have your own linkshells and stuff like that.

So anyways, I'll be quitting, I hope for my last day to ever walk in Vana diel to be sunday night when I transfer all my collected money to you guys. But have fun anyways. If you want to talk on AIM, just IM me.

That kinda sucks Crono. But if it really is affecting your grades that bad I guess it is best. I wish you would have found some better friends in the game so you could go do stuff and not be bored :(

I kinda think you would just need a break from the game til summer but heh maybe its just not your type of game. I would have suggested leveling some other job or something. It would have been nice to get your friends and go level a lower lvl job. Thats what I did and its been fun :) Sorry to see you go though.

Keep in touch :)

I thought about leveling another job, but I'm not going to bother. Besides, I'd really like to play my other games more often, other than just FFXI. However, to this date I've played FFXI more than any other game, so if you ask me the money was well spent.

Well I tried lvling another job, didn't work. Got summoner to lvl 10, was gonna get to 20 and solo avatars, have some fun with that, but when I think about it, I'm just not up for it. I mean, valkurm dunes is nothing to look forward too. It's just the same old crap all over again, and my main job takes a week to lvl up one lvl. I'm sick of it, enemies give the same exp as they have been giving me since lvl 1. What the hell is that? It makes no sense. Getting 100,000 exp when enemies only give 150-200 exp at best and take at least 3-5 min to kill each, it's absolute torture.

I'm just gonna cancel my ID and leave my character on the server for 3 months, maybe by then I'll feel like poping in again for a bit. But for now, I need a serious break from this game.

Damn... Well, if it's affecting your grades quitting is probably what is best to do. So far I haven't had much of an issue with exp, but the expenses of my job are getting to me. IMO farming simply isn't fun, and I know I have a WHOLE lot more farming to do. It it wasn't for my LS I probably would have quit the game too. (They keep me "entertained" in my farming sessions.)

I'm thinking about becoming a blacksmith, even though farming is more fruitful it's less fun imo. If you ever decide to come back I'l just synth most of your armor for free. If you don't come back... well, thanks for being so helpful through the early stages of the game, I'll never forget my first trip to Sandy, or when Amir walked me to Jeuno. Good luck in school, and I hope your grades get better.
