Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team return to engage a grave new threat in the air and on the ground!

Soar through space and gun down an armada of strike fighters in your Arwing, roll over hostile terrain in a heavily-armored Landmaster Tank or bring the hurt to the enemy on foot!

Wage war with your friends in four-player split-screen battles featuring intense vehicle and head-to-head combat. Hop in an Arwing and duel over the skies, punish your opponents with the powerful Landmaster Tank or duke it out on foot with automatic blasters, sniper rifles and shoulder-launched rockets!
Game Storyline: Several years after disaster was narrowly averted on Dinosaur Planet, Lylat Central Command detects a new threat spreading throughout the galaxy. The Star Fox team is sent in to eradicate this growing menace, but what begins as a standard combat mission quickly takes a dramatic turn. Legendary team members Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare and Falco Lombardi join forces to form the most formidable team in the history of this celebrated series: the Star Fox armada!

Characters: Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare, Falco Lombardi and General Pepper.

How to progress through the game: Switch between flying an Arwing, driving a Landmaster Tank or engaging the enemy on foot as you battle through areas swarming with merciless enemies.

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: You can play through missions solo or join the fight with up to three other players. Co-op missions can be played split-screen with players commanding their own vehicles, or with a "wingman," where one player rides on the wing of the Arwing (or side of the Landmaster Tank) and blasts enemies while the pilot controls the vehicle.

For the love of God, stay in the ship, why the hell are you walking around fighting? I don't want to see another RSIII.

There's certainly nothing ground-breaking about the graphics but I think they're good enough for a SF game. The background stars look nice enough.

What a ****ty looking game! Did you see how Star Fox and Slippy look in the first screen shot!? Absolutley hideous. They're supposed to resemble the characters in SF64. I am not content with this ****ty ass game. I'll have to wait until next generation for Star Fox, I guess.

Indeed Bond, it looks like excrament to the max.

The game is called "Star Fox" for a reason....your supposed to fly...which is implied by the name, this is phony advertising. I think if your walking it should be "Walk Fox"...or "Foot Fox" or "Ground Fox" or something that doesnt display that the game might have an ice cubes chance in hell at doing good..

Nintendo Rocks.

I think the graphics are ok, but it's the classic SF gameplay I'm itching to get my hands on. SF isnt popular because of graphics, it's popular because of gameplay.

From what I've seen of E3 so far, the new Zelda, and SF 2 have climbed to the top 2 spots of my most wanted list.

Nintendo Rocks.

Just kinda hit me... if graphics aren't important anymore, why aren't people rushing out to buy an NES to get all of the good old games?

Well, yeah... Star Fox and all other familiar titles were loved for their gameplay rather than graphics because they were titles from the "ancients". I can't remember playing Genesis and Nintendo games because the graphics were stunning.

But, that alone shouldn't be excuse enough for old names to compete with the new without upping their graphics, y'know?

Methinks graphics are more important than this forum's giving it credit.

Edit: I checked out the video. Yeah, those graphics aren't too shabby. But, uh... you guy's'll hate me for saying it, but that game is looking like Star Fox meets Body Harvest

Not really to me. And who says I DONT rush out and buy NES games? I have most of the good ones, but if I see a classic at a pawn shop or a flea market, I DO buy it. Wanna know why? because gameplay is more important. And they are cheap. :D

SF64 is one of my favorite video games...ever. As long as the gameplay is remotely similiar to SF64, I think I'll love it.

Understatment of the year.

of course they are. if its a game they like its... OMG! LOOK AT THOES GRAPHICS.

if its for a rival console. its Graphics arent that important.

its always been this way, What ppl need to realize is that the 2 are connected in some way. Graphics make gameplay better. not directly tied together but in many cases its true.

Graphics pull you into the game more and get you involved. They can make more things possible in terms of gameplay by visuals.

Graphics are important. no matter what anyone says. (they not important in EVERY case. but in general they are.)

I like how now Star Fox has a mixture of flight and land. Adds a fresh perspective to the game and looks pretty fun on land based too. And they also keep the flight based because its the classic gameplay. So I have no objections to the new Star Fox. Mixture of old and new keeps the series fresh.

I agree. Something like Metroid Prime.. Man.. 60 fps. I can't imagine anything slower than that. Gameplay is much faster on later consoles. You can't get that action on NES.

well fps and speed isnt graphics.

What i mean is (we'll take your metroid example)

people wouldnt of liked metroid nearly as much if it was ugly and blocky looking with the EXACT gameplay.

the world of metroid would not have sucked you into it then. and thats a HUGE part of the gameplay.
