The landscape and the characters all look familiar. This is the opening castle area of Super Mario 64™, only with a few DS twists thrown in. Up to four players can link up using the wireless capabilities. Players move familiar characters like Mario™, Luigi, Yoshi® and Wario™ around the 3-D landscape, exploring and looking for stars. While one screen shows the player's character position, the other provides an overall map of the area. Touch a spot on the screen to pop the camera over to another player's position, or to take a close-up look at the castle.

Why? Why is Wario in there? Why? And why is Mario not on Yoshi's back?! Aaaah, I'm so confused!

What does DS stand for by the way? I haven't been looking at any of the nintendo forums recently so I haven't known. Oh and that game looks interesting. Is it basically the same as Super Mario 64, but with 4 players?

Wait a minute, this better not be the new Mario platformer announced last year to be at this year's E3. I swear I'll raise hell.

No, I think that's the new sidescrolling Mario game (3d on 2d platform) for the DS.
