if they make games for it is the big question.

Remember when they announced Gamecube and its Modem adapters. doesnt intirly mean the games will come.

isnt the wi fi really for its networking with other DS's ? i know that could mean internet very easily if you have a wifi connection to your network on your home network. Or i believe places like Airports offer free wi fi internet connections.

Id much rather hear about more online suported games then to hear another way to possibly connect.

I agree. Having the ability to play online and actually having games to utilize that ability seem to be two totally different steps for Nintendo.

WiFi is close enough to internet. You honestly can't expect someone to plug in an ethernet cable to the DS:p

I commend Nintendo on including WiFi because that opens huge possibilies. WiFi is already has tons of popularity and its only gonna grow. How else are you gonna be able to play the DS online without having a cable sticking out the back of it?

So what, I'll just be able to find a dipping point and play then?

Its called a Hot Spot ;)

And yes, all you have to do is find a place that has wifi and you'll be able to immediately get online with DS and join any games and whatnot.

same thing.

And as i said i think its for thier network play with other DS's im not sure if it'll work online QUITE as easily. altho there would bound to be someone to find an easy way to trick it into thinking online is just linking with other DS's.

I'd never use that option much tho. i have wifi at home (tho its disabled cuz im currently not using it) its difficult to find other places that have it.

only place i've ever seen thus far is an airport.

They are in coffee shops and other places. Just gotta look around and whatnot.

But the Japanese will take advantage of it the most since they are all wireless.

I would like to play with a friend cautiously inside a classroom during lectures and lessons.
