Just thought I'd lob a pitch into the middle of the general forum:

Where do you see your life going? Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 30?

I'll be in College in the fall (just got my acceptance letter  ) so I should get my Marketing Adminstration degree in 2008/2009. A couple buddies and I have started our own business...we've done a couple odd jobs so far, we hope to take off next year. That could be successful...and 'Entrepenuer' will look mighty fine on a resume ;)

I want to get into the marketing/advertising business...possibly working towards a managerial position. I'll be done school when I'm 23 or 24, and ideally I would want to be in a long-term relationship within a couple years after that. Have a first of 2-4 kids before I'm 30...own a company by the time I'm 50, and later sell the company for retirement. :D

That's if my NFL career doesnt fall through ;)

Well, my future is cloudy. I have yet to know what I want to do. Medicine has always interested me, but I've grown very attatched to art, but many of my family members would be.. unsupportive.. if i chose an art career (assholes).. so I'm not too sure. Don't want to focus on the future too much

Well, I'll be going to University this fall. I will be on a 4 and a half year Co-op Accounting program. So, if I take successfully complete that within that time frame, I should be out on my own with a job by the time I am 23 (around mid/late 2008). I'll write my CA test (Chartered Accountancy test), and pass it, lol. Hopefully my co-op experience leads me to a job within that company...

Then I want to open my own accounting business. It will be small at first, but it will gradually increase in size, then one day hopefully it will be a big accounting firm, lol. But that is only in my dream.s

I was to get married when I am about 26 or 27... Have 1 or 2 kids before I am 30... then one more after that. I would then live a dad's life, and hopefully I would have enough money saved to have an early retirement!

In five years, I see myself in the middle of college, just getting over the culture shock of the differences between college life and previous life.

Ten years will probably see me living in a tiny tiny apartment just recovering from realizing that I can't write a million selling bestseller novel that will shake the foundations of literature and live on for generations on my first (several) tries. The parents will be my most dependant form of income.

Anything after that will depend on whether I can ever write that mega-super-novel-to-end-all-novels or not (or even a fairly good one).

Which I don't know about...

So...

*shrugs and walks away*

I can see myself not having kids until i'm 30. By then i'll be more financially stable and in the long run..probably better off. Probably a better parent too.

gah. I might have to go to the community college this fall. That's only if I can get ahead and finish my gr 12 in the summer.

I was kind of hoping of doing a year of ESFL in Taiwan but it doesn't look like that will work out unfortunetly.

5 years... Hmmm... Working 2 jobs and living with my parents or friends...

10 years... Working 2 jobs and living with my parents or friends... Or in a tiny apartment...

30 years... Working 2 jobs and living with my parents or friends (at age 48? o.O )... Or in a tiny apartment...

Unless I win the lottery... Or die...

In 5 years, I'll either be dead, still in the Marine Corps wondering why I re-enlisted, or studying something at some college; both TBD. Not much use for a LAV Crewman in the civilian world.

I'll probably grab my money that the government owes me, and go into computer programming. Hopefully either concentrating on game design, or doing something with Macs. I want to enjoy my job, because I hate this one :D

Well, in 5 years, I'll still be in medical school. In 10, I'll probably be a doctor (I don't know what kind).

But that's if I don't leave (I really want to leave though). If I do leave, in 5 years I'll be in college, 99% in computer engineering.

In five years I see myself almost through with my Junior year of College. I'm 99% sure that I will be attending college at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, KY. So that's where I imagine myself living at, in a dorm somewhere. Maybe by the time I'm a junior I'll have enough money to rent an apartment, but my scholarship that I have pays for tuition, housing, books, food, etc, so I see no reason to waste my money on an apartment when I can live in a dorm for free. I have no clue what I'll be majoring in in college...I'm considering English or Forensic Science...but I just cant think of a career that I'm going to love having for the rest of my life. A buisiness major has also crossed my mind...I would love to own my own buisiness and be my own boss.

At the 10 year mark, things start to get blurry. Since I dont know what kind of major I'm going to have, I cant really predict what my career is going to be. If I go into forensics, hopefully I'll be a CSI, if I go into English, hell knows where that will lead me. If I major in buisiness, I'll hopefully own a chain of stores. The kind of store I would want would be books/music/video games. At 10 years, I hope to be married, or be in a serious relationship that will eventually lead to marriage.

If I'm not married at 10 years, than I hope to be at some point between the 10 year and 30 year marker.

After 30 years, I want to have settled down somewhere, (but have enough money to travel where I want to). I want to own a large house (but it doesnt need to be a mansion...I just want a big house.) I want to still be married, and have 2 or 3 kids. Hopefully I'll still have a job at whatever major I choose... I want to live happily, most of all. I want a lot money, but I'm not asking for millions of dollars...just enough to live happily and treat my wife and kids right. I want to be able to pay for their education, etc. At 30 years, I dont see myself living in Kentucky anymore. I want to get out of here and experiance something new. I've always liked the idea of moving to Washington state, or maybe even England. I just want a change in scenery.

So that's the very very fuzzy blueprint for my life. But, life has so many twists, turns, and follies that I have no doubt in my mind that my blueprints will be crumpled up, layed out, redone, burnt, restored, and rewritten completely before my life is over.
