Okay, nothing too exciting but my Windows 2000 Pro finally froze for the first time and I couldn't do anything but reset. Usually when something freezes, I just kill the app or program, but this time I couldn't even use my keyboard or mouse. First time in 2+ years using Win2000 that I had to reset because of a problem. By the way, I was running IE and Mozilla when this happened.
:D Pretty stable OS compared to good old Win98 which I was using before I got Win2000. I have XP Pro sitting in a box as well, but I've not found a reason to switch over to that yet. Maybe I need to try that.

Do it. Once 2000 crashes, its all over:p (joking if you can tell). I've crashed my XP Pro a few times, but some were my fault (overclocked too high) or something that I was able to solve. Except for the blue screen of death only when idle for awhile. That still confuses me on what caused that. A good 2nd reformat fixed that problem. (reformatted first time for different issue)
But congrats on crashing it!:D

I have Windows XP home edition and it hasnt froze once, it just gets really slow if you have too much running on it, but im pretty sure there is nothing you can do to slow it down...

:wtf:
So... Works pretty stable for you eh?
Be happy. You are one of the few...
Just Kidding. I know it's really not bad. But truth be told, I've definitely had my share of crashes on XP.

I've had a couple locks on Xp Pro. A couple were from OCing. Most are from this one video capture program called Movie Star. The stupid thing locks IRQ pages and Xp restarts automatically to prevent damage. The program sucks balls (as can be seen from its many lock ups), but it's the only thing I know of that recognizes my Dazzle thinger. If anybody knows of something else that recognizes Dazzle, let me know, lol.

The only problem ive had with my computer so far, is a virus that changes my homepage on IE. But last night, i got another virus that did the same thing. (the two sites in question are: Microsoft.com, and Coolsearch.net) But sice both viruses are doing the same thing and vying for my computers attention for a homepage, they just negate eachother out. So now its like they were never even there...
